BEST ANSWER: As long as the speaker wire terminals are large enough.
I wired my house during construction but found afterwards the wire would not fit a lot of components.
Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: CL2 is a Class 2 wire suitable for residential in-wall installations, risers (Floor to floor) and some ceiling situations. In a commercial environment where return air from an AHU or Furnace is unducted through a ceiling plenum, this cable would not be acceptable.
I have this installed to power speakers in my ceiling.

The product description says 2 conductors, but does not specify the a) number of strands per conductor, b) diameter or c) if the conductors are multi-twisted inside the jacket. Can someone please provide these details?

BEST ANSWER: No idea on strands per conductor, but it does give you the AWG size of the wire. A strand is not a defined standard as far as I know, so strand thickness would impact the number of strands in a particular AWG size.
Diameter is in AWG. According to wikipedia, stranded AWG is calculated by the cross section of the strands totaled to be equal to the solid AWG counterpart. Stranded wire is always a bit thicker than solid because the strands are round and leave tiny gaps when laid next to each other.
I don't think conductors are intentionally twisted around each other to a spec like Cat 5/6. There is some twist to them inside the jacket. AWG does have a standard of turns per inch, but it appears that's a maximum. The conductors are not bonded inside the jacket either for what it's worth.
My personal opinion: These are easy pulling cables and well constructed. I've used them for longish runs and have been happy with the results.

Do you have 12-2 and 14-2 cable where the 2 conductors are gently twisted inside the jacket? In my application I need this for crosstalk reduction. With cable I've used in the past there is a twist every few inches

Nice wire
Love the 2' increment count on the wire beginning at the length you buy. i.e 500' roll begins with 500 and counts down by every 2'. Easy to match lengths of the same speaker run and also to see how much wire is left on the roll.

Great Speaker Cable
Perfect solution for surround sound speakers. Easy to pull behind walls. Would be fine for Fronts and Center but already had those cables.
