Can this be used as low voltage landscaping wire?

BEST ANSWER: I would not use it for landscape wire because it does not say it’s for direct burial. It will still work just fine but may not last as long due to moisture or UV from sun.

I would not recommend that. Landscape wiring needs to be direct-burial wire, which is often referred to as UF wire.

Can I hook up my Bose 5.1s up to my LG FLAT Screen with these?

BEST ANSWER: BOSE are superior speakers, so they do not need speaker wire. Go in to your TV settings, click on the "BOSE" icon. The TV will automatically pair with the Bose 5.1 system. Using speaker wires is 1850's technology, BOSE being a superior brand hasn't used speaker wire for a speaker in over 100 years.

If you’re LG is running WebOS 3 you probably need to wire it. Some people have had compatibility issues with certain sound bars / Bluetooth devices from their LG TV. Check this out -youtu. be / wmRjJgD1-1Y - might help.

What is the outside diameter (OD) of this wire? I know it’s 12awg. I’m looking at getting sleeves which require the OD rather than the wire gauge.

BEST ANSWER: I’m getting 4.4x9mm, mine came in an elliptical shape due to long term coiling on the spool. If forced into a round shape, 7-7.5mm is what I get on the calipers

Can this 12 ga wire be soldered to the RCA connectors available on Monoprice? Appears the rca connectors have a wire ga size limit.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. It is possible to solder it to the RCA connector. However, there will be no ground wire so you may experience static/feedback when using the RCA connector on the speaker wire. I hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: No. Two strands of 18AWG in parallel would be equivalent to 15AWG. Current carrying capacity depends on the wire cross section for a given length. Cross section doubles for every third step in AWG so to get the equivalent of 12 AWG you would need four 18AWG strands in parallel.

I have an issue with a Sony subwoofer where it is picking up ambient radio waves. Will this speaker wire help prevent that? It is better shielded than the Amazon Basic wire. My assumption is poor insulation on the speaker wire is the issue.

When will 50 ft., 16AWG, 4 conductor be in stock? I only need 30 feet. Seems wastefull to purchase 100 feet, if 50 foot version becomes available soon. But it's possible that 4 conductor cable is never sold in 50 foot length. Please advise.

Very cheap made wire
I thought the speaker wire was going to be a good quality wire. I was very disappointed when I got my hands on it. The outside casing that holds the wire was paper thin. It tore very easily and was very flimsy. The inside wires just rolled around inside the casing. It felt very cheap. I can?t imagine this wire lasting very long. I would not recommend anyone buying it.
