This was not the first time I've purchased these connectors. I've been happy with them over a number of years and buy more whenever I add more speakers.

These were easy to use, and are performing as expected.

I purchased a bunch of these exact plugs many years ago to make speaker wires. They are good for the most part and are still shiny and clean with no oxidation after almost 15 years. One problem with them is that the metal used for the tip has no spring or resiliency to it. Once it gets compressed in a connection they stay that way without bouncing back to shape. I had to use a thin tack pin to insert into the pin slits to "pull" the slits back out to increase the pin diameter and tension. The tip also becomes kind of wobbly in the process. It can be tight some what by twisting it clockwise. They work, but not great quality.

Works great for test bench use.

Bending wire over the inner piece is something I didn't get good at. There was difficulty screwing it in. Is there a better design?

The base diameter of the banana plug is to wide. I had to pinch it with pliers to make it fit on the female connector.

These things work great, are easy to set up, and are the way to go for speaker cable connections. I definitely recommend them.
