Can you plug in two of these in a single outlet?

BEST ANSWER: no. when plugged into the lower part of an outlet the upper receptacle is exposed. However, when plugged into the upper part of the outlet, the lower receptacle is blocked by the unit.

I don't see any reason except that they're a bit too large for the standard 2-outlet plug arrangement.

No, the surge protector is grounded so it only fits one way. If you plug it into the top of a duplex outlet it covers the bottom. If you plug it into the bottom, the top outlet remains accessible but not there is not enough room for something as large as another surge protector.

You can't plug two of them into the same outlet. But there is no reason to do that because of how these devices work other than allowing for more energy to be absorbed. If you think you need more than 900 joules get a device with a higher rating.

What Wattage these can these handle / can it handle a 14AWG wire?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, these are rated for 15A / 125V / 1875W. 14 AWG is rated for 15A for lengths under 50ft so this product can handle 14 AWG wire. But please note that this product is a surge protector against surges (or voltage spikes). This model does not have a built-in circuit breaker against overloads from drawing too much current, so make sure your home/outlet circuit breaker trips at 15A if you intend to use high current draw appliances. Can this be used internationally (with an adapter) for 220v or 240v outlets? (looks like electrical rating is listed as 15A / 125V / 1875W?)

The description says it has both an end of service shut off and alarm. Does it really do both? I would think that if it shut off, it wouldn't have any way of sounding an alarm.

When the light goes out, and does not come back on...Can the purge protector still be used to power my garage door opener. In other words, does it go into a by-pass mode providing power, but, without any surge protection? Or does it completely shut down?

BEST ANSWER: Great question.. Above the light is very tiny (than it should be) text stating, "Protected". So if light goes out, time to chuck it.
