BEST ANSWER: The description says it is 97% oxygen free copper conductor. That sounds like solid copper to me.

Monolith by Monoprice 6ft RCA Cable
So for rca hookup from amp to monolith 7 these would be of high quality .I know you would need 8 of them and since you make the amp what is suggested as there are so many cables on the market . Is there a improvement with the cable you suggested at 20.99 each ive4 the other for 5.99 each . They look the same to me so if you could advise as I am buying the monolith 7 and need to know please .

Does this cable contain 3 internal wires like the one made in this Monoprice tutorial video "How to make your own RCA cable" using PID#6212?
A shopper
on Apr 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: most likely but i didnt cut it open to find out. these cables are already terminated with the PID#6212 connector on both ends so there is no need to follow video instructions. you only need to terminate your own if you need a specific length that monoprice doesnt offer. in that case, do not purchase this specific product. get the unterminated spool of cable.

In reading the descriptin it mentions subwoofer so I am presuming this cable can be used on a subwoofer connecting to a receiver with a subwoofer line output plug. Is that correct?

Good quality cable
The cable arrived in a timely manner, I took it out of the box and it felt like a premium product but I never got the chance to use it as it wasn't long enough to reach from the reciever to the sub. Hopefully I'll find a use for it someday. Until then, thank you for a great product and I look forward to ordering more at some point (next time I'll measure twice and ensure I have the right length).

Solid product
I've been using these cables throughout my system for several years now. They have been consistently good quality with no failures whatsoever. The cables and the matching Y-Splitters have very good connection strength.
Perhaps the only fault is the slightly more rigid (less flexible) build. However, these are designed to be very solid, and I cannot fault this cable due to the basic design of RG6 Coaxial Cable.
For all those with questions: RG6 is a solid core Copper conductor, double shielded, and with a beefier insulation than RG59. The "U" designation stands for "Utlility" according to one manufacturer of bulk RG6 cable, but there is no apparent definition that specifies any difference between product.
Regardless, these are great cables and I will continue to use them in any and all of my systems requiring Subwoofer, Interconnect, or any other RCA terminated cable.
