Does this happen to have optical output capabilities via way of a 3.5mm to toslink adapter?
S/PDIF Digital Optical Audio Adapter, Female Toslink to Male Mini Toslink
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Unfortunately this unit would not be capable of using a mini toslink to 3.5mm adapter.

I want to run optical cable from TV to one soundbar directly above TV and to another soundbar directly across room requiring approx. 35 feet of optical cable but descriptions say the splitter has no loss of sound up to 16 ft of cable. Also I need one male end on one end and 2 females on other end of splitter (male end would insert into TV) Any suggestions ? Run 3 or 4 10ft. cables with male/female connectors in between ?
S/PDIF Digital Optical Audio Adapter, Female Toslink to Male Mini Toslink
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. We would not have a splitter with a male end. Perhaps using a short optical cable will be best. As for the length, you could run into issues splitting the signal and running the length needed. You can try it out if you would like, we do offer a 30 day return policy and you can return it if it does not work out for you.

Well, I thought pairing this with the 25 ft. Premium Toslink cable was the solution since the Premium cable with Mini output isnt available at 25 ft, but the connection between the adapter and the cable was just not sufficient. Signal from my MacBook to Stereo kept cutting in and out. Id look at the cables with Toslink Mini built in rather than going the adaptor route. Im returning my cable and adaptor purchases and going that route.

Great Product
Bought four of these little adapters, attached them to the end of the toslink audio cable and plugged it into my MacBook Pro and my Denon AV receiver. Voila, perfect, hiss free audio. Now I stream iTunes, radio, etc. to the receiver from the laptop. All other solutions ended up with a hum or hiss. This also works for streaming audio to my projector from my laptop. All Apple laptops now send out digital audio signals.

Mac Mini and 5.1!
This adapter allowed me to connect my Mac Mini to my 5.1 receiver, in combination with a regular Toslink optical cable. Works exactly as expected o)

S/PDIF Digital Optical Audio Adapter, Female Toslink to Male Mini Toslink
For .89 cent adapter and my optical cable, connected to my AVR. I now can listen to music from my iMac the way it was intended. Listening to a DVD of Chick Corea concert in DTS sound, can't get much better then that.
PROS: Adapter works, price can't be beat.
CONS: No cons

Works great for Laptop headphone - SPDIF optical jack.
Works great for Windows laptops with a hybrid 3.5mm headphone / SPDIF optical jack. Needed the Toslink Female to Toslink Mini Male Adapter to connect a laptop being used as a FLAC file audio player connected via Toslink optical cable to a Home Theater Receiver. Remember to setup the Windows Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices utility for the SPDIF output and keep the volume low when testing! Keep in mind, the adapter is black in color and rather small - can easily get lost in a laptop or gadget bag pocket. Best to buy more than one of these.
PROS: Simple, economical, straight-forward connector - again, Works great!
CONS: None.

An improvement over the previous.
Even tighter and sturdier than the previous . Fast, nicely-packaged delivery. I recommend it.

Perfect for my Mac mini and MacBook
Like the title says, this is exactly what I was looking for to hook up to my optical toslink A/V receiver. No loss of audio or quality that I can tell.

Toslink re-connected
When switching to one of the new iMac computers from a MacPro I found that my old Toslink fiber optic connection was not supported. The adapter was just the ticket. Work perfectly, its very affordable and MonoPrice delivered it quick.

Quality Toslink-Toslink Mini
I had a number of these adapters that were made entirely of plastic, and that kept breaking. I bought these as a replacement, unable to find any made of solid metal. The metal in these goes from the tip down the shaft, and the plastic used is extremely rigid and durable. It feels a little dumb gushing over a stupid Toslink adapter, but after breaking a half dozen of them, it was really nice finding a quality replacement that I didn't immediately feel would break after not too long!
PROS: Solid construction, rigid/durable plastic.
CONS: None.
