Will this Product #2675 work for plugging in a VGA monitor to a DVI switch, along with Product # 5910 (DVI-A to SVGA cable, https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=102&cp_id=10209&cs_id=1020905&p_id=5910&seq=1&format=2) ?
Product #5910 DVI-A to SVGA cable will not fit into my DVI switch. Will it fit into the female end of this adapter? If so will the signal work?

If not, then would Product #2397 (https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041903&p_id=2397&seq=1&format=2&res=1) work for connecting a VGA monitor to a DVI-to-DVI cable I have that fits my DVI switch?

Did not work as I had hoped.

I am sure this works for computers with DVI-A connectors, but I was hoping it would also pass through and convert a DVI-D to VGA. It did not.

Doesn't work for what I'm want it to do.

Bought to go from a VGA connection on a PC to DVI on monitor.
No signal to monitor.
Too inexpensive to be worth it to send back to get money back.

Did Not Work For Me

I was hoping to connect a DVI monitor to the spare VGA port on my machine. Figured this was a quick, cheap way to do that. Unfortunately it did not work. Windows recognized something was connected, but there was no output to the monitor. Had to resort to a straight VGA-to-VGA cable.

PROS: Monoprice - fast and cheap as always!

CONS: Adapter did not work

Would you happen to have the make and model of the monitor you are trying to connect? If the monitor has a DVI-D port, it will not work with this adapter as this adapter is intended for displays that accept an analog DVI signal rather than digital. Also, what other output ports are does your computer provide? I apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your feedback.
