With this mount, can the tv be raised and lowered a few inches? Or can it only be "tipped" up or down, side to side, etc?
A shopper
on May 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No. It is of course adjustable (up and down) upon setup and installation, but the TVs height does not change once install is complete. Raising or lowering the TV is NOT a function of this mount.

The arm itself does not move up or down, it tilts and swivels in all directions except straight up and down

The screw holes in the back of my tv are 16” apart horizontal and vertical. Will this mount work?
Mark T
on Feb 9, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but you either have to place the mount directly on the vertical stud, or you have to mount a 1” x 6” piece of of wood across the studs horizontally attached directly to the vertical studs, then center the TV mount as desired

You need to find out what "Vesa" pattern you have. Each flat screen has a particular vesa pattern. Ex. 200 x 200; 400x400 etc.

What are the 2 thin pieces that hang down vertically below the TV mounts? (can you take them off)
Christopher H
on Dec 13, 2022
BEST ANSWER: There are little corded loop strings that allow you to activate the spring-loaded catch on the mount (so that your TV has something small behind it keeping it from sliding off the mount). I just draped mine behind the TV along with the other hidden cables, no biggie.

Those are the clips to keep the TV from falling off the rail so it would not be advisable to take them off. They should be hidden when you hang the TV

Large displays? how big led 65inch?
A shopper
on Jul 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It depends on the TV itself. So long as the VESA pattern of the TV lines up with what the mount is capable of accommodating AND it falls within the weight parameters that the mount can support then you will be able to use this mount with your TV.

My TV is 75 inches Samsung. Do you have a wall mounting that carry this?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
This would work for the TV if the mounting hole pattern would be between 200 x 200 and 600 x 400 and would weigh less than 69 lbs.

Will this model work on a curved tv ?
A shopper
on Feb 16, 2021
BEST ANSWER: My experience with wall mounts and curved screens is limited. However, If the VESA pattern is within the proper size of the mount, you should be able to utilize the spacers to use the mount. Even the curved screens have a bit of a flat spot where the mount should be placed.

My tv is tilting forward from the top end. Does anybody else have this issue? It seems that the arm is bending due to the weight. My tv is under the 77 lb limit though. Any fixes for this or do I have a defective mount?

When fully collapsed/retracted, will the TV be centered with the stud the bracket is mounted to (i.e., is there an offset when fully retracted or does it stay fully centered)?

Finally, a TV mount that includes plant hangers.
I've enjoyed using Monoprice's other TV mounts, but was always disappointed that I could not hang any plants beneath them. This mount at last solves that problem.

Great TV mount!
Great TV wall mount. Easy to install and is very sturdy for my 43 TVs even when fully extended. The only negative I have is the fact that the TV slides from side to side when moving the TV. There should be some kind of micro clamps included with this mount to prevent.

good value
Used on a 43 inch tv, I wouldn't put over 40 lbs. on it myself. The bulk of the force is on the one upper screw if using a stud. The leveling adjustment really calls for a decent 10 mm wrench. Sockets, pliers just a screwdriver don't quite cut it. works well once installed

Decent option for low cost
Easy to install. Holds our 82 inch tv with no problems tilt and position is easy to adjust. The only challenge is that for large tv's, position is determined by position of studs - and there is no room to shift tv position on the rack.
