Will this work for speaker wire to plug into Yamaha RX A800? I believe it needs RCA.

BEST ANSWER: Hello,
These connectors are used to terminate SPEAKER cables and are connected to the SPEAKER terminals on the rear of your receiver. RCA connections are use to connect other components (E.g. amplifier) . Most RCA connections wont be used if you are using HDMI cables which carry both audio and video signals. Good luck.

I can't speak specifically to the Yamaha RX A800 but I can tell you that I used them on my Yamaha TSR-7850 (which is less than a year old and looks pretty much the same) and they work great. Eliminates the need to wrap wires around the post every time you change anything.

This will not work as an RCA (for your inputs) but the this will work on the speaker outputs.. One per conductor. That's what I used them for. This is a Banana plug for single conductor. Lots of RCA standards on MP. Ed

Yes, the A800 like most mid level or higher receives accepts banana plugs for speakers. The RCA connections are for line in connections (e.g. inputs such as CD player or pre-outs), not speakers.

on Sep 24, 2021
BEST ANSWER: If you are using just five channels: 1 pair each stereo (2), 1 pair (center)(1), 1 pair each satellite (2) so 5 pairs are all you need. at the amplifier end, double that if you are using them for the speakers.

What is the difference between banana plug P/N 21820 and P/N 21821 ?

BEST ANSWER: I asked he question and thanks to Karen for her answer and she was correct, there is no difference between the two. Using them for my 365T's and 365C going into an Onkyo 7100 and they all fit. Now to just striping the wires and getting everything hooked up. Monoprice always has the best stock.

What is the difference between banana plug P/N 21820 and P/N 21821 ?
MICHAEL K

BEST ANSWER: Pricing appears to be the same. I would say that there is no difference between the two. When I recently changed receivers, I purchased banana plugs for all my speaker connections. I received the plugs about two weeks before receiving the new receiver. It definitely made the process of swapping out the connections simpler.

Satisfied
Impressed with the quality and build of these connectors. Just make sure to tighten the tips as none were fully seated. No instructions were included which is a shame for the newbies.
The very low price was worth the cost of waiting a few days for delivery.

There is not a lot of room for the bare wires before they overlay the grooves and if they get in the grooves then it is difficult to screw the tops on.

Good quality, feels substantial, I haven't used them yet but it's pretty straight forward.

ok plugs, bad packaging
Plugs themselves are decent. Took a star off because each pair of plugs are in an individual plastic bag. Completely unnecessary and a waste of both my time to cut them open and resources.
