Some of the blackbird units explicitly state they have EDID passthrough support in the description. Do all blackbird HDBaseT extenders have EDID passthrough?

What speed does the USB2.0 port operate? Some USB extenders claim full 480mbps but fall far short. Also, some USB extenders don't support all features of USB making them unusable in some cases, often with webcams. My specific scenario is to extend a display and also have a USB webcam at the display plugged into the USB port on the receiver end.

BEST ANSWER: The unit extends a standard USB2.0 connection, so as long as the webcam doesn’t require the additional bandwidth of USB3.x it will work well.

Is there a refresh planned for this to support the newer 4K standards? The other answers reference product 21792 but it does not have the built in USB 2.0 transport.

BEST ANSWER: The units do run a little warm, but we have had a few running 24/7 for about a year now with no issues. We use these primarily to connect a remote PC to a display and webcam in conference rooms.

What are common causes for no signal being transmitted and the on light flashing? The link and power lights show solid green and red but the hdcp light isn't lit.

What are the most common causes for the on light to be flashing green and no signal being received? On both the transmitter and receiver, the power light is solid red, link light is solid green and hdcp light is not lit.
