Colors are standard, the termination layout is how you determine A or B. Typically A is Gr, Bl, Or, Bro while B termination is Or, Bl, Gr, Bro

it doesn't matter so long as both ends are the same. Most factory made cables are A. A crossover cable has A on one end and B on the other

568A I believe, but it's not hard to just put Orange on Green and vise versa.

What do the screws look like on the other end? Machine? Wood? Can this mount to a board?

BEST ANSWER: There's no screws instead it's plastic pushpins. It's designed for the Leviton Structured Media cabinets.
Although you'd probably be able to remove the pins pretty easy to mount it elsewhere using screws.

They’re actually not screws at all, they are push pins that are designed for use in a home media box. I removed them and used plastic spacers and screwed it to my enclosure instead.

Is there a version that works for wall/plywood mounting? What's a home media box, and are they all the same spacing?

Do I have to buy a separate mounting bracket or does this come with one?

BEST ANSWER: You get what you see in the picture. For my application, the corner mounting posts lined up perfectly with the Leviton Structured Media enclosure in my house. If you do not have such an enclosure you will need a bracket.

Great to cleanup the cable company's mess
After the phone/cable company was done connecting fiber to my house, they left a mess of wires and connectors. This little panel helped me clean up and organize the mess they left behind.
Note: I needed a LAN tester to determine how the installers chose to configure the wires. It was neither A nor B but their own version.

A working alternative to the Leviton patch panel
My house came prewired for ethernet with an installed media box made by Leviton, but the data module they sell is pricey. Fortunately, I found this and was able to snap in the plastic pegs into the media box. It includes a plastic punchdown tool, but I used an existing one for easier installation.
Be aware that it is wired to the T-568A cabling, unlike the common T-568B. My house is already prewired T-568A, so you can either swap out the green and orange wires on the data module itself or at the network jack.

Easy to install and fits into Structured Media Center
I stalled 2 of these into a Leviton Structured Media Center and they fitted great, occupy's less space. Very sturdy for punching down and space to organize cable. As the previous reviewer stated it is Solid Stripe, Solid Stripe... from left to right. The data module is color coded for 568-A if you wish to cable for 568-B just flip the green and orange order. Great Product.

Easily installed into a Datacomm enclosure
Installed in a home with a pre-existing Datacomm enclosure. It came with a small push-down tool, but I needed my own cutter for wire stripping and excess wire after pushdown. Did not come with instructions. The modules are color coded and are in "solid stripe solid stripe..." order from left to right. Maintained gigabit speed with cat6 over 100ft. Good support behind the panel so the board didn't cave in during pushdown. I wouldn't buy this unless you were installing into an enclosure with the proper mounting hole locations, as there are cheaper options that will do the job with more mounting flexibility. Overall very happy with the product.
