Holding the M button for about three seconds should do the trick. It goes into a mode that prevents accidental movements. It took me a bit to figure that out when I first got it, they should make it a little more clear!

You hold down "M" until the number of the height pops up and then you can move it up or down. You can also click any of the presets you have created (1,2,or 3) For me 1 is my standing and 2 is my sitting.

Once it goes to sleep you can easily wake it by placing and holding your finger on the M (memory) static button for 3 seconds. It will then allow you to adjust the height to your desired setting.

how many electric outlets does the table have?

It does not have any power outlets. I mounted my own surge protector under the desktop I added.
It does need one wall power outlet to power the motors though.

What desktop did you purchase and how did you secure it to this frame?
George R
on Jan 7, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I repurposed an old table top from a cheap stationary desk. Any thickness of 1/2” or more should be fine and I used one same width as the electric legs to fit into a smaller space. You can screw tabletop in from underneath using the holes already in the frame, or I found drilling through tabletop and using bolts at the hole locations was even more secure. I also used a longer bolt at the back and attached dual monitor stands to it which is more stable than using the monitor stand clamp-on types. Overall great desk and setup.

I already had a solid wood desktop surface 30x60" with legs. Just removed the legs and attached the top to this electric frame instead. It's a simple drill & screw attachment - nothing to it. You can use anything for a surface - raw board from a building supply store that you finish yourself, repurposed material from an old desk, counter top or kitchen island, etc.

I bought a slab of birch wood cut it down to 70”x32” and sanded it down and applied a few coats of poly. Final sanding layer was steel wool, so that baby is smooooth. I’ve seen blanks sold on amazon for about $100. The Wood base I used was 3/4” thick so I just drilled through the mounting holes in the frame to secure the table top.

I set up my desk, set it to a standing height, and the control panel now shows "- - -" (three dashes) and does not respond to button presses to adjust the height. I don't see any of the error codes listed in the little manual and unplugging / replugging the desk in does not seem to reset it and allow me to continue to adjust the height. What do I do in this situation?

BEST ANSWER: The desk controls go into a standby mode so they don’t respond if you accidentally knock into them. If you hold the M button for a few seconds, the controls will wake up again and display the current height. At that point you can press the buttons and adjust your height again

BEST ANSWER: Hi, we use the same desks in our HQ and we have not encountered this issue from the dozens of desks we have at the office that we've been using since 2017. It is possible that the electronic controllers could be getting damaged by surges from power lines in your building.
If your electricity is prone to having transient voltage spikes / surges, those could damage electronics and circuit boards. Surges could be coming from the power grid, or possibly from the building's power lines when appliances like air conditioners and other high power electronics cycle. I would suggest using surge protectors for the desks to prolong the electronic controller's life.

Monoprice Triple-Motor Height-Adjustable Sit-Stand L-Shaped Corner Desk Frame, Black
BEST ANSWER: I have the 3 leg version and the motor starts slowly, goes a set slow speed and finishes off slowly at about the last inch towards final height. Only thing to consider is it has no safety stop in case of an office chair with arms shoved under while elevated and adjusting downwards. I had this happen once. Otherwise I am pleased with performance. It is quiet and has worked perfectly for the past year as I work remote and use daily.

I have the 3 leg and its the best ergonomic purchase I've ever made. The motors seem pretty chill - I don't know if they actually ramp up in speed, but it's not like you're going to accidentally floor it into your knees or something. It also has a presets which are really convenient for consistently taking it to your preferred sitting and standing heights.

BEST ANSWER: This product has not been tested with a glass top so this configuration can not be recommended. Also, it would be best to consult with the glass top manufacturer on your mounting options. You might want to explore metal glass adapters that would stick to the glass bottom using a strong clear adhesive and would use screws to attach to the table frame.

Tempered glass and provided rubber screw grommets worked for me. You might consider an clear silicone. Also you will want a strip of material to cover the mechanical channel (approx. 4" wide).

I see the brace runs straight across. Can this be separate to allow installation of an under desk sliding keyboard tray (runs ~21" front to back) or will the structure get in the way?
A shopper
on May 13, 2022
BEST ANSWER: It will depend on how deep your desktop is front to back. But the structure will most likely interfere. The support is approx. 4" wide, so half your desktop desk minus 2" for half the support width is the space you have to work with. OTOH, the strength of this unit is you can lower the desk so that the top surface is at the right height for typing.

It honestly doesn’t matter because you can rotate the desktop. If you look at the picture with the dimensions, the minimum “width” is approximately 23” because of those screw holes. Since the determine the screw holes you can probably go up to 40”. The desktop I used is 30”.

So I bought the Skarsta from Ikea and was wondering if it's thick enough to be mounted on the desk frame? The table top is about .875 inches thick.
Christopher T
on Aug 23, 2021
BEST ANSWER: The thickness shouldn’t matter as long as you use screws that aren’t too long. What does matter is whether the desktop is hollow core or solid. If it is solid you shouldn’t have problems. If it is hollow you will need to make sure that the mounting holes line up with the portions of the desktop that have solid anchors inside. I used an IKEA top (not Skarsta) for a while and it just barely allowed me to hit the solid portion of the top with the mounting screws.

A shopper
on May 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This product is quite stable even at full height, and this type of sit-stand desk is one of the most stable options for height adjustable products. The frame is made of steel so the weight and material help with stability. Vibration and shaking are minimal even at full height, although they do increase as the table goes taller. But these are barely noticeable and shouldn't be an issue for normal office desk and computer use.

Input: AC120V 50/60Hz Max: 3.15A
Output: DC24V 200VA
I hope this helps.

Would it be possible to control two stands (height wise) from a single switch?
Larry M
on Jan 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi, we have not tested this application and the desks are not designed to be used in this way. A possible workaround is to save the same preset heights on the desks so they could be easily set and adjusted to the same heights. Hope this helps, thanks.

It seems that the legs are going up and down at a different height and coming down from a height it vibrates to jump into place. I still have the manual and tried resetting the legs but it doesnt work. Any idea how to get the legs in the same position again?

What are the minimum tabletop dimensions required?
Maria N
on Feb 28, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Minimum tabletop is probably just to cover the frame: 23.6 x 39.4".
Or go a bit deeper so the top has the same dimensions as the minimum footprint: 27.6 x 39.4"

Is it possible to purchase a replacement control panel? I'm seeing issues where the panel will freeze and not accept touch input until I unplug and re-plug the control panel back in.

What is the length of the cable for the control panel that gets mounted to the underside of the desk? I'm interested in learning how far to the side it can be positioned so it doesn't accidentally keep getting bumped by my legs as I move about. Anybody have any experiences to share?

Has anybody tried attaching a mid-sized computer tower to their desk so it follows the desk as you raise/lower it? I'd like avoid just having it on the top of desk for the sake of having more desk space. If you've found something that worked for you, please let me know!

I've had this desk for several months now and love it. But, I've noticed on occasion, it will beep 5 times and then stop - and many times when I am not even using the desk. This is not a timer as can be set up at specified intervals as described in the instruction manual - I have not configured any reminder timers. It is completely random and may happen once and then not occur for several days. Anyone know what this is about?

This is the second one I've purchased. On the first one, I installed a 1.5" thick butcher block table top and it was great.
Lumber has become really expensive though, and I didn't want to spend the money on the same table top, so I bought a 3/4" edge-glued pine board for the top and it works fine. Will paint it white to match the frame.

Annoyed; missing 1 screw
Feels solid, fairly easy to setup. Only problem was it was missing one of the two screws holding the motor in place. Couldn?t wait for Monday to call them and have them ship another so just had to live with one screw which isn?t really holding it in place. Prob won?t impact performance, I hope!??? Can?t do anything about it now since I?d need to take apart the top to get to that part? kinda annoyed. Otherwise, desk legs seemed solid.

Finished setup.

Happy customer and would purchase again.
I?m happy with this purchase. I had a live edge desk already so the switch from the original legs to stand base was pretty straight forward. I like the adjustability (any range of heights between min and max), the fact the motors are relatively quiet and smooth, and the real benefit of being able to stand / sit as I see fit. The white finish seems and components seem to be of high quality. As stated earlier, I?m happy with this purchase and don?t have any regrets. I?ve had for well over a month and use it just about every day and haven?t had any issues.

Easy, Solid, Customizable sizes
Was really simple to put together, great quality and heavy. I installed this the second it came in and it has worked out for me great! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a standing desk.
