I'm new to multi-video recording and I have a question - does the RS232 allow me to plug the USB end into a laptop and use with the software ProPresenter so that I can view each camera from this switcher? And also switch views from the software?? Hope I'm making sense...

BEST ANSWER: No, the RS232 port is only for controlling the switch. There's no way to view any video over the RS232 port. Video only goes out over the BNC connector labeled "OUT". You can use software to switch the output but I don't see any documentation that suggests ProPresenter knows how to control this device.

What RS-232 voltage level does it provide? 3.3, 5.0, something else?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your question. The voltage level is typically around 5 volts up to approximately 15 volts and will meet the standards as described in TIA-232-F.
