Folks -- I'd like to use a bridge (versus running a Cat-6 cable through existing construction) to connect my weather station data logger to my home router. The distance is about 60' from the basement to the second floor. I'm in a single-family home and the signal would have to pass through normal wood construction. Will this bridge do the trick?
Purchased from another vendor in 2017. I used two of these to create a wireless bridge between me and my neighbor's home, about 500 feet apart. On each end, the devices were mounted indoors, on window surfaces using the provided suction cup mounts. We had to do this because our winters in Alaska exceeded the operational parameters for the equipment. We had no problems streaming high definition movies between my Plex server and his Roku device using encryption. There were some security vulnerabilities associated with Ubiquiti, products a couple of years ago but I believe those have been addressed. Always ensure your equipment has up to date firmware.
