The speakers are extremely easy to mount. They are held in with cleats that are molded into the speaker frame. There are philips head screws on the front of the speaker behind the grill that engage the cleats and pull them into position. Once the speaker is mounted into the hole, they essentially sandwich the speaker onto the drywall. Be sure not to over tighten them as the can cause distortion to the speaker frame. Good luck and enjoy them!

Hello Larry,
I just installed these in my basement “man cave”.. Very easy to install. The hardware for the mounting is already on the speaker and ready to go. You simply turn a screw and the hardware does the rest of the work on its own. Built in clamping system, so the hardware swings out once you start to tighten the screw, and pulls itself tight against the back side of the sheetrock.

there is a template that comes with the speaker. You just trace that on the wall and use a drywall saw to cut that hole out. I can't tell you the exact dimension but the template makes it easy. Hope that helps

If existing hole size is 2/10" larger on all sides will that matter. Trying to replace existing speakers in hole that is 10.875x7.44. Hoping there is some minor leeway...?

BEST ANSWER: You should be fine with that small of a difference. The mounting flange/trim on speaker from opening to edge is about .5 inch on each side.

Good cheap option for rears
Used as rear speakers in 7.1. They are a cheap option for effects channels. Terminals could be better, but cant ask for much at this price point.

4 out of 5 stars. Took away 1 star for very basic crossover.
Tweeters pivot. Which is great. Crossover just a cap in series with tweeter. Very easy to install. Removable grills with foam dust covers underneath. All this for $30 a pair is an unbelievable steal.
