We would like to use this ceiling speakers in the bathrooms in a patio in our church. We have a Yamaha mixer and eq to power the speakers also do we need to buy a lot of speaker wire in order for them to channel the sound from the inside of our church to the restroom and patio? Sorry I didn’t add details correctly

BEST ANSWER: These ceiling speaker will require a power amplifier. Our Unity 100 will give you enough power for these extension speakers. I would run these off a line out or an AUX if you need instant volume control. The Aria are an excellent choice for sound and value.

You can add any speakers to your existing system. Keep in mind the impedance and power. You can google charts to figure out the speaker wire size needed based on the approximate length of the run. Long runs will have propagation velocity (think echo) issues, but if it isolated from any other speakers you should be okay. Good luck!

you would need to purchase speak wire in the length that is equal to the distance of the amp to the speakers, in the run you want to deploy it in

It may be ok. I bought these to install as front channel speakers in my living room but have not installed yet, as I've got to run my wiring and cut new holes. . I would make sure size is correct prior to purchasing.

Hi,
They are not Bluetooth. They require a hard wired connection. I would have someone look at it that understands your system. If you have a 70 V system you could actually do damage to the speakers and/or amplifier

The 6.5-inch speakers run at 40W RMS at 8 ohms. You can run two speakers per zone either as a Left/Right pair or as a mono pair in bridged mode.

Is this speaker pair left and right, or are they both stereo speakers? And can they be used for the kitchen and restroom?
New User U
on Sep 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: These speakers are designed to be one for the left and one for the right, so typical room would have two.
They do make speakers that combine left and right in one unit-ideal for small spaces where there is only room for one speaker but you want both channels.
Kitchen is fine. Restrooms with a shower can be a bit moist. They do make special speakers for that environment...but I have used normal ones in my bath for years.
Hope that helps

The are both stereo and can be used in several applications. I have them as overhead Atmos channels I’m a home theater but I’ve also installed a larger pair for living room ambiance music speakers. They are not going to be audiophile quality but for a kitchen or restroom it will be amazing!

It would have been nice to see in the online documentation that an amplifier should be used between this (13356) and the speakers.
Is an amplifier really needed? Also if no amp is used how is volume controlled? Is that via the attached blue tooth device?

Monoprice Aria Ceiling Speakers 6.5in Polypropylene 2-Way (pair)
Monoprice Multizone Source with Bluetooth Receiver
Monoprice RJR-2 Multizone RJ45 to RCA Converter
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you need an amp.
The Bluetooth receiver converts that signal to audio over Cat 6 (or whatever it’s called). The RJ45 unit converts that signal to analog audio at line levels. If you plugged-in your analog earbuds to it, it would work, but that isn’t what you’re doing (I assume).
You need an amp to drive the speakers, just like in any other loudspeaker application.

This is simply rj45 to 2 channel rca converter for LR 2 channel only. I would recommend to use 2.1 amplifier that gives you much more flexibility. Cheapest one I could find is 36376. It allows rj45 and Bluetooth input. Then you connect your pair of speakers for output.

That probably would have been a better option, but didn't see the 36386, and already have the RCA converter and Bluetooth Receiver. And also wired in a spot for the Bluetooth receiver.

BEST ANSWER: These Aria ceiling speaker work just like standard bookshelf stereo speakers. They will require an amplifier or stereo receiver that delivers up to 80 watts of power to each speaker. There is no power required for these speakers. Simply connect the red/black terminals to the speaker output of you amp to enjoy the sound.

I am working on a multi room system. I want to have 4 speakers each in Zone 1 & Zone 2 and have 2 speakers each in Zone 3 & Zone 4. I want to keep remaining two zones for future use. I read in previously answered Q&As that these systems can have 4 speakers in each zone. So I am assuming that is not a problem.
Can someone help me understand how ceiling speakers are to be installed for this application.?I am considering either Monoprice aria or caliber in-ceiling speakers. Do I need to buy anything except the speakers and 14AWG CL2 Rated 2-Conductor Speaker Wire? Any other equipment needed to install/secure the speakers?
My house will be framed soon and answer to this question will help me finalize the equipment.

Better Than Expected
Wanted simple speakers for garage ceiling. These Aris ceiling speakers are dirt cheap at $20 for the pair, but the function is much nicer that expected. The sound is tad tinny initially and improved after break-in of a couple days, but the detail is excellent. Good enough for living room surround sound system. Once I had the wires routed, installation was a snap. Paper template and pencil made my mark. Hand saw the hole, connect the wires and screw the clamping tabs. DONE. Couldnt be easier.
