"Shipping box weight: 65.3 lbs." - Does it really weigh 60+ lbs?
A shopper
on May 4, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely not. The shipping box also doesn't seem to match the listed dimensions... it's nowhere near 8 inches thick. It's basically exactly the right size for the mat to have a snug fit inside. Whole thing probably weighs like, 2-4 pounds.

Nope, it must only weigh a few pounds. I got mine by the sink it'll slide around on linoleum floor but it does it's job well.

Could this also serve as a chair mat at my computer (will it hold up to having a 180 lb person sitting in an office chair on it)?

BEST ANSWER: I have been using this mat for about 8 months and it's great for standing on, but I don't think it would hold up well to a chair. Perhaps if the base of the chair was wide it might be ok, but if the legs were pointed at all I think it would hurt the mat.

I don't think this will work for what you're looking for. The mat would be too small to roll a chair on it and would be to soft to allow the chair to roll.

I don't think it will but probably depends on the wheels of you chair- it is firm but soft enough for support just not sure w a chair

Not really. I put my feet on it while sitting but a chair would not roll or balance well in the mat. The mat is thick.

Would this be good for use in a kitchen or bath were it would get wet occasionally?
Steven D
on Jun 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't think getting the mat wet will cause the mat to fall apart. However, to avoid mold/mildew problems, don't let it remain wet for too long.

The product photos show two different mats with different thickness and texture. Which mat is this actually?
Andrew S
on Jul 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the pictures are for the same mat, but the one image with the bigger rectangular grid shows the bottom of the mat. The top of the mat has the finer detail and the sloping edges. Thanks for checking.

Need to know the thickness of the mat and if you can use it standing and sitting with a chair?
A shopper
on Apr 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the mat is 0.6" thick. You could use it with a chair but the chair would sink in some and have a bit more play when you shift your weight compared to if the chair were directly on the floor. The sides of this mat are sloped so you could roll the front part of an office chair onto the mat carefully, but the chair won't be as easy to move since the mat has some give to it. Hope this helps.

I see a warning in the product description re: Proposition 65 that it may contain a cancer causing chemical. Do you know which applicable chemical this product contains & how concerned should I be about it?

Works pretty well as a replacement for a work out mat in front of the kitchen sink. Only three stars because of some sort of slick coating on the outside that caused it to be not only very slippery, but would track to the tile around the mat. It needed extra washing before use and a week of being really careful walking around near it as it made the floor really slippery.

Has absolutely no grip
When I put these on our office's wood floor, the mats just slipped a lot. There is no surface grip on these. They feel fine, but it seems dangerous when you're in the office, and you're about to step on one of these mats, but then it slips.

Solid Mat
The mat came as-advertised. It is doing wonders for my knees and is pretty grippy. Be careful, it ships with some coating on it that will make it (and your shoes) a little slippery for a couple of weeks until it rubs off.

Comfy mat for standing desk
Definitely helps while I work at my standing desk. The mat had an oily residue out of the box, so I had to wipe it down with a damp rag. Since then its been great
