I like the cables even thought they are really thick. The problem I have is the ends are brittle and break easy. I'm not sure what they are made of but they are not quality metal. can anyone recommend a replacement end that will fit this size of cable?
A previous reviewer mentioned problems with the grounding connection inside the cable that made these less than perfect. Since all I was running was plain analog video, I didn't think it was going to be an issue. Boy, was I wrong.
One cable that was doa caused 2hrs in checking everything else but the cable. When I finally checked the cable, I found that other cables had similar issues. So we tested all 18 cables that we ordered. As the ends are flexed, there were dropouts and artifacts--sometimes never recovering. Out of 18 cables, we deemed that 9 were just too finicky to work consistently. We've contacted Monoprice for an RMA on these and hope the next 9 are in better shape.
And this was a complete shock because otherwise, the cable itself is built excellent--cable stock is good, boots are thick and strong, and the BNC connectors connect well. It's just the inside of the cable that you can't see that can bite you if you have a critical application.
