It says on the case TVI/AHD to HDMI converter, so it would appear that it would also convert AHD to HDMI.

Is this camera compatible with the 16178 TVI to HDMI Converter? I am not connecting the camera to a DVR, but simply to an HD video screen.

BEST ANSWER: Yes it is. Connect camera TVI video cable to the input on the converter. Then HDMI to the TV/monitor. You do not need to loop out to a DVR. I have it set up this way and works great.

BEST ANSWER: Yes it is. Connect camera TVI video cable to the input on the converter. Then HDMI to the TV/monitor. You do not need to loop out to a DVR. I have it set up this way and works great.

Will this work on a digital tv antenna to a hdmi tv ?

BEST ANSWER: No, this is not a DTV receiver. It converts AHD (Analog High Definition) also known as TVI (Transport Video Interface) to HDMI. Normally, these signals come from high definition cameras that put out an analog signal at high definition resolution. Most (all?) TVs and monitors can only receive a high definition signal through an HDMI input.

This will not work with a digital TV antenna. It's made only for the TVI output of a security camera or the TVI output of a security camera video recorder.

Will this convert an F-type coaxial cable to hdmi output (for TVs with no F-type coaxial input)?

BEST ANSWER: This device is to convert CCTV camera signal to HDMI. If you want to convert the signal coming from a tv receiver to HDMI then you will need something different. F-type connectors can be used with BNC adapters.

This product will work great , all I did was remove it from the box connect coaxial to the input of the converter and the hdmi output to the tv or monitor , my video was on the screen.

What kind of latency can I expect with this converter? I'm trying to get as tight as possible as I'm connecting two rooms together with live video to flat screen displays. No DVR involved.

I have a UHF digital antenna with coax connection. The receiver I am going thru does not have a coax input. How can I connect to HDMI or red/white/yellow input on my receiver on the way to TV? Thanks RJ

I wanted to direct view an AHD security camera on a tv monitor and this unit fit the bill. Continuous duty, no heat generated, generates a perfect 1080p 60Hz HDMI signal.

Item does not seem to function.
The item DOES make the multi-colored stripes and the display says HDMI, but when connected to the output of an RF modulator with multiple camera inputs, it still displays the multi-colored stripes.
