Monoprice Speaker Wire, CL2 Rated, 4-Conductor, 14AWG, 1000ft, White

Monoprice Rounded Floppy drive cable IDC 34 X 3, 24 Inches (16/8), Black

Monoprice Cat6A 6in Blue Patch Cable, Double Shielded (S/FTP), 26AWG, 10G, Pure Bare Copper, Molded RJ45, Entegrade Series Ethernet Cable
BEST ANSWER: I found this; “ Plenum cables are coated with flame retardant and made using special plastics that don't smoke nearly as much as other plastics to help prevent this problem.” I don’t recall the description of the product but if it states that the cables can be run in walls or under floors I would assume that they are Plenum rated. My cables are all exposed.

This is not plenum rated but they do sell one that is. You'll have to look at Monoprice Nimbus Series 14AWG 2-Conductor CMP-Rated Speaker Wire, 100ft. I don't see a 4 conductor but you can ask.

What is the strand count on the 14/4 1000ft cable?

BEST ANSWER: I purchased 50ft, 12 Guage, and the strand count is 2. The speaker wire works perfect for my use. I ran it from my Pioneer Amp to my Bose 701 Speakers. I purchased Monoprice E326425/AC-12/26550FT WH.

First of all, 2 is not the strand count, it's the conductor count. You purchased 2 conductor speaker wire. Second, the gentleman asking the question asked about 14/4 cable, so his conductor count is 4 making your answer not only ridiculously unhelpful but also completely inaccurate for his purposes. If you don't know the answer to a question, just don't answer. What he's specifically inquiring about is the number of strands of wire contained in one conductor. This is not typically an important measurement for anything but wire flexibility. Some people erroneously believe that it is an indication of wire quality, but it's not. More strands equals more flexible. Electrical wire for a house has 1 strand per conductor because it's not super important that it be flexible.
