Does the image appear exactly simultaneously on both monitors? I would be splitting this signal to two TV's that are on the same wall, so if there is any sort of a delay between the two, it would be obvious and not look right. I'm looking for a HDMI splitter that will not have a delay between any output monitors. Thanks!

No, you can view either one but not both at the same time. This unit comes with a button switch which you use to select either the A or B monitor. It does not appear on both screens at the same time.

I had a 50 ft. Hdmi cable installed in-wall that I can not rip open so I’d like to somehow make it work.
Display is 65”
Source is onkyo nr818 receiver. Connected to it are MacBook Pro, Apple TV and oppo blueray player.
Signal is fuzzy when hooked up directly to Apple TV.
No signal when connected to receiver except when I first turn it on. It shows onkyo logo.
My thoughts are that signal is very weak. I’m wondering if there’s a solution such as an hdmi amplifier while still using the 50ft cable.

Should work just fine. I'm using a 35ft cable running to my TV.

How do I hookup dish to 2x4 switch and splitter. I have one dish receiver?
A shopper
on Jun 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. You would simply be able to connect via an HDMI from the Dish's HDMI output to the HDMI input on the 2x4 Switch and Splitter. Then you would connect another HDMI cable from the HDMI output of the Switch and Splitter to the TV's you desire. Keep in mind this will only split/mirror the signal across all TV's connected. I hope this helps.

We currently use this at our church to switch between our main computer and the pastor's laptop. However when we switch from our main computer to any other input and back again, we lose the input on our main computer. Is it possible that I need an active switcher in order to maintain the input after it's been switched to another one?

I purchased the Blackbird to replace an old splitter which had distance limitations and the Blackbird works great for 3 of my TV's, but he 4th is a projector with a DVI input, I use a HDMI to DVI Adapter but all I get are rainbow lines going vertically across the screen. This never happened with the old splitter.
While trying to solve this, I have an HDMI-DVI Converter/Adapter that splits the signal to separate DVI and Audio outputs, when I put that before the projector the picture is perfect.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

All monitors blank when one is turned off
Each time a monitor powers on or off the entire unit blanks out. Just because I want to turn one monitor off, it doesn't mean I want them all off. It only lasts a few seconds, but it is undesirable behavior.

Will not work properly with 4K and Non-4K TV's
I have two TV's connected on the HDMI output. The newer 4K TV works fine, but my plasma non-4K TV video signal keeps cutting out. Very annoying!!!! I received a new unit, but the same thing happens. After calling tech support, they said it may be a compatibiity issue with the signal stepping down.

Worked as designed
used to split signal 75 ft away and every thing worked great. Only drawback is that the led lights are bright so it can be a little annoying when watching TV with the box in front of you. Also not sure if this is something with the box or TVs as when I turn either TV on or off the other TV comes on/goes off as well. Highly recommend using this splitter.

Good Product
The switcher serves it's purpose. I am using it for business, so I was hoping for a smoother transition between the 2 inputs. But...it is what it is and for the price it's great.
I do own a couple of the VGA a/b switchers and they are a much smoother transition.
If anyone has suggestions, they would be very helpful.

Output from computer second monitor port to different screens.
TVs sync up just fine.
Different computer screens try to talk to the computer and get into an endless loop with the computer output of trying to lock onto the resolution. Have to unplug those screens.
Otherwise outputting the signal properly.

Gaucho Network Review - Blackbird 4K HDMI 2x4 Switch/Splitter
Were in need of a way to switch between a computer and our broadcast system to post onto our projector in the main gym. Saw this as an option and took a chance.
Ran a test in the office to see how well it would work. Tested running a 100' HDMI cable and it passed it. Set it up in our gym and was having issues with the HDMI cable. Decided to run a 100' VGA cable utilizing a HDMI to VGA Adapter. That worked out like a charm for us.
All in attendance during our rally were able to see what we were broadcasting to the home viewer and then switch back to the computer presentation.
Many thanks to Monoprice for the speedy delievery. =)
