Approximately 3 1/4" from the surface it is on to the top of the shelf. I think it's a perfect size to slide my gaming keyboard under and out of the way when I need more desk space. I was hoping it would have been a little taller though as I wanted to place collectibles under it for display purposes originally.

BEST ANSWER: I don't think so.....it would not be very comfortable anyway. We use the shelf to add more desktop space. when not using the keyboard, we slide it up under the shelf to have more room to do paperwork. It's a great shelf and looks very nice.

I would find it difficult. The underside of the shelf is exactly three inches above the surface. With a very slim keyboard and small hands, it’s feasible, but it’s not realistic for me with my big hands.

You can if you have a slender hands. I bought this for cleanliness and organization, but I think I enjoy doing the typing away from underneath the keyboard. You can if you’re really constrained by space.

The height of the shelf does allow clearance for a keyboard but it’s not high enough to allow for typing, storage only.

This is the third monoprice rise I've bought. They work fantastic, free up space on the desks and the quality is quite good. Did I mention the price on these risers are fantastic!!! Great product and well made.

Great Product
Great product for the price. The glass edges are nicely shaped (rounded, no sharp edges) the feet attachments were cleanly adhered to the glass and feet easily screwed in. Purchased eight shelves, all pieces were individually and securely wrapped and boxed. Shipping and delivery were fast. Would definitely purchase again.
