I have it set up fairly high, so there is some wiggle during typing. To be honest it is a set up just for VR, so I wanted something I could move around and keep all of my equipment on. I hope this helps somewhat.

It doesn’t for me, but I took the wheels off. The wheels increased then height just enough that the keyboard shelf was too high for me when sitting.
I use “Magic Sliders” if I want to move it.

Not at all. But if you find it moving around, you can actually lock the two front wheels so they can’t roll around. It’s just a matter of unlocking them when you do want to move the desk.

With the wheels locked, it is very stable. I have two of these, and they have been fantastic. I am a teacher, and I use them in my classrooms every day. No issues with stability.

At the highest settings, there is certainly some movement. I don't think it is stable enough to function as a full time standing desk. Its solid at the bottom settings.

The wheels can be removed. However, you'll probably need a foot, shim or other spacer under the legs. There is a bolt-and-washer that sticks out about 2-3mm (1/8 inch) underneath the desk that will cause it to wobble slightly. You can find a screw-in desk "foot" at some hardware or furniture stores. Alternately, you may be able to use some stick-on felt pads or even just glue on some small pieces of luan or plywood.

Yes. You screw them into the base during assembly. They can easily be left off initially or removed later. The desk will sit flat on the floor.

What is the mechanism which raises and lowers the desk? Is there a video showing its operation?

I use a monitor desk mount that I purchased from monoprice (PID 5402). Is the top shelf thick enough to attach this mount to it?

BEST ANSWER: The top is about 14mm (9/16 in) thick. I attached PID 24587 to the side of the desk and it seems to be just fine. I imagine its sister product, 24588, will work just fine, also, but that may make it top-heavy with two monitors.

The shelf is about an inch thick but I do not like the stand as it is too high for normal sitting and doesn't work well for a laptop. Not many still use desktops. Also the entire top two shelves move together as moving a desktop and monitor sitting atop. Overall, it is pretty sturdy.

What is the width of the BASE? I've seen the provided diagram - the 17.9" wide measurement must refer to the lowermost "shelf", because a shelf above it is shown as 18.6" wide. I am looking for the measurement from outer edges of base beam to base beam, the beams being what the wheels are attached to. Someone responded to another question about the base depth, saying it was 28”. I would like to confirm the depth also (again, the diagram doesn’t show this important measurement).

It is too tall even in lowest setting
I bought this to use in other areas outside my office and when assembled the lowest setting was to high to use without using a taller (and very uncomfortable) chair. The ability to raise to standing position is so clunky you have to remove everything from the desk to raise it (or lower it) and the put back on.

Perfect for a little mobile arcade station
Using this as a temporary arcade station setup with an X-Arcade joystick and Dell 19" Monitor. The 2 Player stick fits so perfect you'd think it was made for this thing. There's plenty of room for a much larger monitor as well. The shelf underneath is perfect to house some speakers and a mini PC. For some reason it does show fingerprints easily on the cart.
The only thing I'd say is when getting rough with the joystick the whole stand can shake a bit. It's not horrible but it is a little distracting. If you are just using this as a standing or sitting work desk you won't experience any issues. It's an absolute steal at this price.
Final note they did revise the build of this cart in the last year, so the online instructions are incorrect. You will get the correct manual in the box and now it's actually a little easier to assemble with less steps involved.

Very well thought out design with very good quality parts.
Mine arrived around noon today and I am already on it right now and WOW, this is one nice desk. First off I am a 25yr vet auto mechanic so I know how to put stuff together. I was off today so this worked out well. When mine arrived I opened up the package and went thru the parts list and everything was there and it was all in good shape so I put it together, it went beautifully and it is tight as a drum. The steel alone is worth more than $50. I better buy another one . I am only about 5'8" and I can sit and stand in its lowest position so this is nice but it sure comes up and goes down easily! There is no way Monoprice is making much money off this desk. They probably need to sell 10 of these to make a ~$100 profit. Just guessing but I do owe a thanks to Monoprice!

Sturdy work table
I purchased this for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Adjustment is pretty straight forward. Raise it up to you desired height and when you want to lower it, raise it up all the way and then it will allow you to lower it all the way down. She has an external monitor and a laptop on it. Rolls easy and doesn't wobble at all. Great product for the cost.
