What Faceplates do these fit into?! ... I can't for the life of me get these to snap into any of the Faceplates I've tried. The bottom notch isn't wide enough.

BEST ANSWER: Bought several types of CAT6 jacks from monoprice to make sure they fit on a 6 jack keystone faceplate. I like this jacks the best but they don't work in the 6 port faceplates because of odd slim pieces of plastic on the back between the ports. These jacks get propped up just slightly because of them preventing them from seating properly. I used a razor blade to very easily shave those little pieces away and all good! They fit fine on the 2, 3, and 4 port faceplates though!

I used these (Construct Pro 3-Port Decorative Strap), but I would think any standard strap would work. I do remember that I had to place one side in first and then muscle the other side in to make it clip in place, but it wasn't terribly difficult. I did have to space the two apart with a coax in the middle slot because these two next to each other wouldn't fit (or at least it was very tight). Good luck.

Works in Legrand/On-Q plates, but you have to first modify the plate or it won't sit all the way flush with the front. Legrand added a little shoulder to the keystone sockets on their plates (I assume to ease insertion), but if you shave that shoulder off they work fine and you can't tell from the front that they were modified.

I was hoping to to be able to attach pics. I was able to snap'em in PID:6733. You have to hold the plate up right and angle the plug so the bottom goes in first. There's a little lip at the bottom and squeeze down snap on top. Email me on my gmail account aisamuel7356 for pics if still need help.

On the inside of the plate make sure "UP" is up. Put the plug in at an angle, bottom first. The squeez peice is up. Squeeze it down while pushing it in. When you look from the front of the plate the CAT# should be upright. If you would like pics my gmail is aisamuel7356 @

These fit very well into the Shaxon "BM303WP" series of keystone wallplates, available at Fry's, Amazon, etc.
No issues with the 1-, 2-, 4-, or 6-jack plates.
They do NOT fit into the CE TECH plates sold at Home Depot, for the reason you described above.

I didn't have any issue putting it in an old existing quad plate at work... Not sure what brand it is though. Are you sure you aren't trying to put it in upside down? I only ask because I have (with other jacks) in the past...

These will fit into a standard port wall face plate - like the ones you can buy at Home Depot for .$0.97. Or even better -- Monoprice Wall Plate for Keystone Product 6725 for $0.44.

The dual keystone faceplates bought from monoprice worked just fine, but you can only install them in one orientation.

BEST ANSWER: It's color coded on the sides. Look at the pic. Blue square = solid blue wire, Blue triangle = blue/white wire, etc. Easy peasy :)

I couldn't find one, but honestly, it's pretty easy to figure out. I have never wired up ethernet before this, and the only thing that might be confusing is the A/B markings on the top, which refer to the ordering of the wires which has to be the same at both ends. Just google T-568A or B for diagrams, just in case you need to figure out what the other end is using.
So you detach the parts, trim the wire, and thread it through. Unravel each of the colored wires and line them up with the corresponding color, reattach the outside, and rotate it until it snaps shut. It's really easy!

I wonder if mine are old and the labels are faded or my eyesight is going in my old age. =\ the two most important pairs orange/green are hard to distinguish. Maybe someone elses are clearer? Or I guess as long as i'm matching on both sides it doesn't matter. I'm also using a Pockethernet to test the lines and its saying miswire. Even though my plain old tester says all four pairs are fine.

How well do PID 15703 keystones fit into this 2-port plate? Those keystones did not fit well into a faceplate I got at a local Lowes, so I'm skeptical. I don't want unsightly gaps caused by a bad fit. Did the reported "UP is not really up" problem get fixed? Is an oversized plate available (bad drywall work)? Thanks in advance.

Easy to use except not for video transfer
Simple and easy to use but connections not adequate for video transfer. Punch down keystones and tool are still the way to go. Assuming if video transfer not adequate the speed you are getting is also less than it should be. Recommend testing one like I should have before I purchased 10.

Great product for being my first time splicing cables
These worked great for splicing cables for a couple of wall plates. I only needed to go through one wall, so I bought a shorter cable rather than bulk. Cutting and splicing the cable was easy and then I slid each wire into the slots on the side of the cap with the twisting portion. This then screws down onto the terminal side of the part (where the ethernet cable plugs in).
I didn't find precise instructions on how to do this, so it was a little bit of figuring it out on my own, but it was still smooth and I had no problem with any of the wires/signals on any of the 4 ports that I attached.

Works well, just check plate compatibility
Works great. Unfortunately doesn't fit my on-q wall plates without modification (not quite flush, at an upward angle with a gap at the bottom and the top partially covered by the plate), but it's pretty easy to fix. Just need to shave off the shoulder on-q added to their plate so that it is flush all the way around the keystone socket.
Another minor nit I have with these is the top tab that holds it in the plate is flat ("/|"), rather than angled ("/\"), so removal from the keystone socket requires a slotted screwdriver and a bit of dexterity. That's also easy to fix with a bit of shaving, but would be nice if I didn't have to.
The key is easy to read, and the guide and lever assembly works quite well and with minimal effort. Cat5 fits rather loosly, but a bit of electrical tape or roll back the jacket on itself and that probably wouldn't be an issue. Haven't gotten to try it with cat6 yet, but I imagine it'd be a bit more snug due to the spacer and possibly thicker wires and insulation.

Same as other photo.

Very easy to terminate wires. I recommend depressing the clip a little when first inserting keystone plug into wall-plate. You will hear it snap into place if seated properly. I had no issues with these fitting the Monoprice two-plug wall-plates I used. 1 of 20 had bent jack contacts, but I was able to swap out without re-terminating and then all passed continuity test.

Easy to use, worked perfectly on the first try
Worked perfectly for terminating some cables in a tight space that did not have room to use a punchdown. Of the 6 keystone jacks terminated, all 6 tested and worked perfectly on the first try. Fast and easy to line up the wires and clamp. These keystones also fit perfectly into Monoprice's single port wall plate. Will definitely use these for all RJ45 projects going forward.

Much easier than punchdown terminations
I previously have had really bad luck with punchdown terminations. I gave up on them entirely and was crimping RJ45 connectors and using coupler jacks until I discovered the twist-lock terminations. they are easy. just route the wires to their place, assemble the two halves of the socket, and twist the blue handle to pierce and lock the connector. Worked flawlessly first time.

Won't fit in Monoprice 2 gang, 12 hole wall plate
These will not fit in the Monoprice 2 gang, 12 hole keystone wall plate. I'm not sure if the problem is with the plate or these jacks, but Monoprice should clearly state what keystone plates and jacks work with each other.
