These have a different connection type. The ones on the right are heavy duty shielded RCA. I see these most often for connecting between stereo components like receivers and DVD players etc. the ones on the left are often specific to connecting speakers to components.

The affinity cable uses just the banana plug as a single connector with no shield. The RCA connector uses the center pin as the connector for the audio signal and the shell portion as a connection for the braided shield that protects the signal from interference.

Monolith are rca cables (for subwoofers) whereas the affinity premium are standard speaker wire with banana clip fittings for traditional speaker connections

BEST ANSWER: They are what they say they are; braided speaker cables of high quality that look good. They come in the standard lengths as listed. They are a mass produced product that look like they 'could' have been custom made for your setup. They are absolutely fine and I like them. The braided jacket and plugs look and feel great. Double check your length requirement; as I almost went too short after snaking around a couple of obstacles. Am pretty sure you will like these.

These are not custom made, but are a pair of speaker cables in selectable at time of order lengths. Quality was just fine.

How do these differ from Monoprice's Affinity Premium speaker cables? (I asked the reverse question on the Affinity cable's page. But I added a picture of Monolith subwoofer cables instead of these.)

A little confused. The 3ft Product # 15519 is $8.99. Will that include 1 red and 1 black cable? Enough to connect both polarities for one speaker?

BEST ANSWER: These cables are sold as single cables so if you get just the one pack it would be a red or black wire, 2 pack would get you one red and one black, and the 4 pack gets you 2 reds and 2 blacks.

Would you please clarify? Other responses, including "Staff" responses indicate a single pack would include sufficient cable/ends for a single speaker. Meaning 4 banana plugs and appropriate cable between. For two speakers, two packs would be required. Updating the pictures with a photo showing the entire cable would be helpful.
That would be because the answers are shared between the different versions of this cable, including the 4 pack versions that have 4 speaker wire cables.
The 2 packs have 2 speaker wire cables and the single has just one speaker wire cable.
Pictures on the page would also specifically say that 2 or 4 cables are included depending on which version of the cable you have chosen on the page.

These were very easy to install. No fussing about. It just clips into the back of the speak and into the back of the amplifier too.
I like the gold colored tips on the ends as well. Very stylish.
