Can the ferrite cores be used with this product? Is it necessary/helpful and, if so, what size core should be utilized?
Jeff Holman
on May 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. In a common setup a ferrite core would not be necessary for these cables are triple shielded. Should the cables be installed along with some high powered cables it could help prevent interference.
The overall diameter of the cable would be 7mm should you require a ferrite core, though it will likely not be required. I hope this helps.
Should you require additional assistance, please reach out to our technical support team with a detailed question via any of the methods available here:

Your q&a for the Dynamicview cables say that these are certified only for 8’ & 25’ , depending upon the gauge. I’m interested in 10’ cables. Are these 10’ cables not certified for 4k@60hz and all the other features you list?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
The DynamicView cables would not not be certified by HDMI but all of the certified premium cables would be certified.
Both cables would support all the features the product page would list.

Are these (product #15429) rated for HDCP 2.2? For some reason I couldn't get this specific cable to work with my Xbox One X and LG OLED B7A. Xbox said it was displaying in 4k but didn't have HDR available. Once I used the HDMI cable shipped with the Xbox, HDR worked fine. My understanding is that the HDMI cable has to be rated for HDCP 2.2.

Thick but functional
Works as intended, however it is nearly as thick as the power cable next to it. If you're looking for something diminutive, this isn't it. But it does its job at a great price.

Great Quality at a Great Price
This is not my first go round with Monoprice so I expected to get good quality cables. And of course I did get what I expected. The added plus is the company is easy to deal with.

Solid Quality Cables
I bought four of these to run in the wall between keystone jacks for a new TV installation to forward all the HDMI ports from the TV down to my equipment cabinet. I selected these cables, as I wanted higher-quality cables that won't need to be replaced with my next TV years down the line. So far everything is perfect using these cables, even with the signal also going through two keystone jacks and two other HDMI cables, though I'm only using them for 1080P and audio.
