Can this device output to two displays at once?
A shopper
on Feb 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Like most things in life, the answer is not simple.
I used this with a DISH 722K DVR receiver and it worked perfectly. The HDMI signal output from the DISH 722K was split and sent to two TV monitors. This worked.
Recently I upgraded to the DISH HOPPER3. The splitter would output to one TV or the other, but if both TVs were turned on, neither TV received a signal. Evidently the HOPPER3 has establishes two-way communication with the TV and when both TVs were turned on, the HOPPER3 was confused by two simultaneous responses.

Yes, although the resolution displayed will be the lower of the two connected devices if in the auto mode or the device can be hard set to the resolution you choose.

What voltage DC, amperage, etc. does it need?
A shopper
on Jul 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 5 volts DC, centre-positive. Can't remember what the rated minimum amperage is, but an adapter that supplies one amp (1000 mA) is plenty. It will only draw what current it needs, and I can safely say it requires under one amp of current. I use a 1A power brick which isn't the one that came with it, so that or higher will definitely work.

Could I use this to connect a computer to a 4k TV and a 1080p monitor? I want to swap between the two, not have both running at the same time.
A shopper
on May 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can, but in future if you decide you want to watch both TV at the same time you will be watching 1080. The unit will not support 1080 and 4K at the same time. It works great with either one but not at the same time. If you in the future to watch both, then add the HDMI 1 X 2 splitter, just switch the 1 X 2 splitter to the 1080 setting.. I currently use this solution to have the same signal on my living room TV and a 1080 in mu kitchen TV.

Also please be aware that the DVDO Air3C will support a maximum resolution of 1080p@60Hz as well as up to HDCP 1.4 and will not be able to support 4K content.

HDCP not working...
Purchased to use with a Xbox One to provide output to the connected TV or the large screen on my home theater setup. Works perfectly for gaming with both screens or either screen individually. There is a problem with HDCP content though, as trying to watch Netflix on the Xbox fails. The Netflix app locks up the console during initialization. Also, Blu-Ray content provides audio only. If I take the HDMI Splitter out of the setup, and connect directly with the same cables (all Monoprice cables) it works perfectly, no issue. I purchased this box to avoid having to constantly change which cord is plugged into the Xbox to avoid wear on the port. I chose this particular switch because it was once of a few that supported HDCP but it seems unable to handle HDCP for movie content. I've tried setting the EDID switch to both STD and TV - no difference, neither works with movies. Both displays are 1080p.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Low price point. High quality.
Very pleased! I needed to send a duplicate hdmi signal From a laptop to a tv & a projector. The run to the projector was 50. I was concerned about the signal degrading over that distance, as well as the three different devices using the same resolution. Not only was it not a problem, I was able to change the resolution for each device in my display settings. It absolutely improved the overall look of the media presentation. At this price point I dont believe anything comes close. If youre looking to send A hdmi signal to multiple devices, even at a different resolution, but your budget is limited, problem solved!

Great low profile splitter.
The item worked precisely as I wanted it to. Thus far, I haven't had any issues that trace back to this item. I use this in a house of worship context, splitting an HDMI signal to two longer HDMI cables for projectors. The product is smaller than I expected, so it was very easy to work with and secure in the area above my stage.
The only thing I can't speak to is how well it handles 4k input. At this point, I am only pushing 1080p through the splitter to fairly dated projectors.

HDMI Splitter
This splitter works as it should. Would give it 5 stars but for the price varying all the time. Placed the order and the next day it was priced much lower. A couple of days later, price back up again. What's up with that? Good device though.

Blackbeard 4k Pro 1X2 HMDI splitter.
Works exactly as advertised. One cable to the TV and the other to pre amp. Great price too.
