How many amps does each USB-A port on this adapter support?
    A shopper on Aug 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The total output of the 3 USB Ports is 900mA
Will using this adapter disable Wi-Fi and only allow Ethernet?
    A shopper on Jan 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Plugging it in will not disable WiFi on your computer. Having a live connection on both WiFi and Ethernet will often confuse your operating system and not work correctly; if you do have both networks live, only one of them should have a connection to the internet, with the other only being used for local devices. (That's for desktop OSes; server OSes can cope with having multiple routes to the internet.)

You can also just use it as a three port USB hub when you're using WiFi and not plug anything into the Ethernet port. Works great when you need some extra USB ports on the go.

Whenever I use this with my Logitech M510 wireless receiver (on a macbook pro 2017) the mouse movement is choppy and exceedingly difficult. If I switch the receiver to a single usbc-usb-a adapter it works fine. I can only surmise that something is up with the adapter. Is there any way to diagnose what speed it is running at?

Seems to have problems with WD external HD
The ethernet port on this adapter works very well on my 2016 MacBook pro. The USB-3 ports work with all the USB-2 devices I've tried. But There doesn't seem to be enough power to spin up my USB-3 WD My Passport external drive. The drive works when plugged into an Apple USB-A -> USB-C adapter. But when plugged into this hub, if it does show up it behaves erratically, and most of the time not isn't even recognized by the computer.

Works, but there's a small gotcha
This adapter works as advertised. However, when I plugged it in to expand the number of USB ports without an Ethernet cable, my MBP lost Internet connectivity. I was not able to use WiFi with this adapter plugged in.

    Works fine
No real complaints with it - I use it with a 2016 MBP that only has Thunderbolt3 ports. The only thing I'd ding it on is despite there being ample power that could be delivered in the TB3/USB3-C spec, it seems to not deliver enough power to charge any devices (or operate a external hard drive as others have noted). I was a bit bummed about not being able to charge my phone with it.

    Spotty Functionality
Adapter appears to be well made and the ethernet port work reliably. However, when using a USB 3.0 external hard drive through one of the 3 USB ports, drive will mount then unmount without warning a few minutes later. Drive works fine via apple's USB C adapter, so I believe it must be an issue with this unit.

Excellent Accessory for my new MacBook Pro
This accessory works exactly as I expected. Made my life a whole lot easier without having to carry separate adapters. The quality is really good.

    Kinda works but...
2 things so far and I have not used it as much as one could have: 1/ the USB ports seem very snug - too snug making it hard to plug and unplug a USB A cable. 2/ using this adapter kills wifi on my 2016 MBP - so if I only want to connect a USB device, I lose internet connectivity via wifi. Hence 2 stars.

    Does what it says
This has been a really handy little adapter. I essentially use it as a dock now, and it's performed as advertised. I do not have the issue some others have noted, where WiFi does not work with the adapter on my 2017 MBP. Full marks!

    Bets Adapter
The Gigabit Ethernet portion is using the Realtek chipset which is found in the Belkin USB-C and Kanex USB-C ethernet adapters. Works perfectly with the 2016 MB Pro 15". No drivers needed. The USB hub worked fine with USB 2.0 devices. I haven't tested it with USB 3.0 devices.

    USB Ports Unpowered
The 3 "USB 3.0" ports do not support items requiring power from the USB. I bought this to be able to connect an external Apple Superdrive/DVD/CD, but it doesn't provide the power required. It will support pointing devices (like a mouse), but not much else. For a cable to connect the Superdrive, I was forced to buy the single USB-C to USB cable from Apple for $19.

Perfectly fits the bill for attaching my new laptop (which has no Ethernet port and is short on traditional USB-3 ports. One USB-C port now provides multiple USB-3 ports and an RJ45 port.
    And at a reasonable price!
