Any issues using these cables to hook a game system into a TCL tv? Can’t get the tv to recognize a signal.

BEST ANSWER: I don't use it on a game system, but, after having trouble myself with it "sometimes" working and sometimes not, I noticed in very light print on the ends of the cable "Source" on one, and "TV" or monitor, on the other. Plugging them into the units that way made them work. Later found out that the cable is direction specific. You might try checking for that. Plug the Source end into your game system and the other into the TV. Good luck.

We have used these cables for connecting a variety of hdmi sources to different brands and sizes if monitors without any problems. The one thing to pay attention to is the directionality of the cable. The two ends are not the same: one end can only be connected to the source and the other can only be connected to the display. If you reverse them, it won't work. Good luck!

I had the same issue happen with my Playstation 4 Pro. You have to make sure you set the settings on the TV as the following. Settings --> TV Inputs --> Select HDMI Source --> HDMI mode -->HDMI 2.0. Also, make sure that if you tv is HDR that you select YUV 4:2:0. As the issue is with the HDMI standard and cannot do 444 chroma sampling under RGB.

Might check that the "Source" end of the cable is connected to the game system. When I used these I thought they were defective but actually I overlooked that the connectors are labelled and it matters which end goes where.

One end of the cable is labeled 'source', the other 'TV.' Make sure the end labeled 'TV' is in your TV, and the end labeled 'source' is your game system. No signal will go thru if you've switched them around.

BEST ANSWER: Hello, thank you for your question. Yes this cable will work with your current setup though we recommend not running more that one active cable in series. Also it is important to note that this cable is directional so you will need to make sure the end labeled "TV" is connected to your display as connecting the cable backwards will cause the cable not to function.

15' length is fine. It is when you go beyond 20' that is questionable and can lead to issues of the signal not going through. Usually it's the unit that provides a strong enough of a signal. I have had cases that even with an active HDMI cable at 100' may not work. I have used an active HDMI cable from a GoPro and it worked, but not as a connection from my A/V HDMI live mixer to my main projector output. Go figure.

Yes this will work great but you can only have one active cable per system. If you using to hookup to a receiver this will work awesome but use passive cables from components to receiver. Also these cables are directional when you hook it up.

BEST ANSWER: The Monoprice part Number 12611 is a 25' active cable with Redmere technology which uses a non-powered, passive equalizer for longer cable runs with no signal loss.
This class of cable would be my recommendation. My system is built using nothing but these and the audio/video throughput is flawless. If 25' meets your needs, use the above part number and you will be all set.

I have already purchased three 15' foot cables to support my LG OLED65E7 TV, and a OPPO UDP-203 4K Blueray, and a Roku Ultra streaming device. 4K Slim High Speed HDMI Cable
Works perfectly, though at first I didn't realize it is a DIRECTIONAL cable that only works one way. I didn't notice the markings on the connectors, so had it plugged in backwards. Once I noticed them and switched the cable around, it worked like a charm.

HDMI cable was great, except no mention that it was Unidirectional.
The 15? slim HDMI cable was great and worked fine. Only one complaint. The cable I received was unidirectional. Unless the end marked ?source" was plugged in on the signal side there was no picture. It took awhile to figure this out. There should have been instructions included with the cable.

Great Ultra-slim Active AWG 34 HDMI cable thin & pliable
After returning for credit an earlier order for an HDMI cable that turned out to be ~3/8 thick, stiff, and very unmanageable, tried this as a replacement. It is wonderful, slick and pliable, only about 1/8 (pay attention to the AWG!). The powered Source connector makes sense to drive a strong signal with thinner wires. Works great, looks great. (And, hey Monoprice: are you not even going to request me to return the first one? Wow! ?? )

Essential pliability.
I needed a 15 ft. length of high speed cable , not for a straight run but to allow a cabled connection from my laptop to my TV for weekly family meet ups on Zoom during the current lockdown. It did a great job, enabling us to sit on the couch while observing the conversations on the large screen. Couldn't be better!
