IS THIS CABLE IS FOR SAMSUNG PHONES?

BEST ANSWER: I have a few of these from a few years ago. At least one of the 6-ft cables works with my fast charger (Quick Charge 3.0, the standard recent Samsung phones use), but at least one did not. They were exactly the same except color. Sounds like the shorter, the more likely fast charge will work, but these were both 6 ft. The charging still works on both, but one is not fast charge, just regular charge. But they are a buck. Buy a couple and save on shipping and have a spare or two around.

Yes absolutely, I use this exact cable to charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and my son uses it to charge his Samsung Galaxy S4 and it really works great, it's very well made, and fits the charging port on the phone nice and tight, with no flop or loose connections, overall I've been pleased with this cable and I plan to buy more of these from Monoprice in the future! If the Samsung plug for your phone is a USB Micro (B) type then yes, the cable will work. You need to make sure your Samsung phone specifically uses the words USB Micro-B for it's connector type.

If you are a bit more careful you can use it to charge devices with the later Samsung data plug. Just have to look at which side of terminal you plug in to. This will not transmit data tho.

Definitely! I have used these for my Galaxy S5 which is USB 3.0 but can use this cable to charge. I also use it for my current Galaxy S7.

BEST ANSWER: USB 3.0 is a wider connector. Though you ca use this to charge USB 3.0 devices.

After a 2nd order and double confirmation, they spec'd me the wrong cords to charge my phone. I'm done calling back, return auth etc. Will eat the loss.

Cheaper doesn't always mean better
This cable barely lasted 6 months, I paid under a dollar but still, this disappointed me. It takes forever to charge anything now, like several hours.

Finally something I can count on
Thinner cable than expected, but it was a dollar. No complaints at that price, and no problems yet. I bought two because I abuse these cables anyway, but for that price I could go through ten of these and still be ahead of the game. I salute you, Monoprice. Your cheap cables have given me some happiness after my gf left. And as a bonus, I can keep my phone charged in case she calls back.

Shipping was really fast it works as advertised of course it made in China but don't let them scare you it's working just fine so far I have no issue with that, highly recommended

Reliable and inexpensive!
I love these! I purchased a couple of these on a whim and they turned out to last a super long time, and now I've purchased more to replace my more expensive but weak-connecting Walmart cables. I also like the bag packaging they come in.
