I never received this product and have not heard from Monopriceas to when I am going to receive it. I can't give an honest opinion.Luckily I paid for this item with Pay Pal and they will get my money back.

In fact, speed tests while bypassing the router show faster speeds. I guess the router is not as efficient.

just what we needed to be able to disconnect the iMac from the internet when not using--to avoid hacking etc. simple and easy to use.

Delivered on time, all 8 components worked perfectly and handled the job exactly as needed!

Works Good!. Shipping was Quick. Using in an older windows 7 and 2003 server network with less than 1g speed and it does fine. I use the box to switch between two different routers and have the network setup with static IP addresses. Using a small network setting software program (netsetman) for switching between the two static addresses seems to work best. The procedure being, switch the box first then run the network software for switching the static IP. DHCP should handle this but it seemed to have problems. The durability was needed for a construction worker environment and this steel box handles that fine. Though I haven't tried it in a windows 10 and server network it should all work fine.

Tried to use it to switch between two different internet connections. It did not work at all.

We needed this basic a/b switch to change between a primary and backup internet connection. First day we installed it, we actually needed to use it, and it worked as expected. For something so basic, it does seem like there is enough attention to detail and quality in the product for it to last a long time and give years of faithful service. Great bang for the buck.

Works great! Use Personnel Network for home fun and games. Use remote Office Intranet connection for private wok connections. Switches quick and without any speed loss.
Loses one star for size and 1980's looks.

Using to switch Ethernet between 2 computers where only 1 line was run from a distant router. Because I do not use one of them only occasionally on the web, this is a good solution.
