BEST ANSWER: This is generally going to use rj45 cat6 connectors. Most likely the punchdown keystone type as it's meant to be used in the wall. If you really want to use it for patch cables - then https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=7245 will work, but stranded cable is going to work better in general if it's going to need to be bent/moved/reused somewhere else.

Assuming you wanted to maintain the Cat6 nature of the cable (which I can only assume you want to since Cat6 tends to be slightly more expensive than Cat5e), you would want to likely use https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=34414

The cable you're purchasing is a solid cable so you would use item ID 7245 which is for connecting to solid type cable.

The second one. The difference is the material of the inner wire, solid being a single, thick copper wire and stranded being bundled hair-like copper strands. The plugs have to terminate differently in order to catch the wire properly.

You will need this one, https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=7266 Or anyone rated for Cat6. The wire conductor is thicker.

Neither, it is recommended to use Cat6 RJ45 ends. You are dealing with 23AWG (solid) wire vs the 24AWG that you would most likely encounter with Cat5E.

There is no string in this cable but there is a four way divider to keep the pairs separate. It's a plastic insert that looks like a plus if viewed from the end.

Is this cable PoE, PoE+, PoE++?

BEST ANSWER: I'm not an electrical engineer but this is CAT6 , 23AWG, solid all-copper conductor cable so it meets the current (as of 2023) IEEE requirements for PoE (and +, ++) applications. I've just used it for some short runs of less than 30' (not PoE) and it seems like very robust cable.

I noticed that the orange and orange-white pairs are twisted at a tighter configuration than the other wires. Is there a reason for this? And as a result, would it be preferred to wire this for 568A or 568B configuration.

Good day. No, it does not matter how tight or loose the wires are twisted as you will need to untwist them anyway in order to terminate the ends. Either 568a or 568b is fine, doesnt matter which one you use as long as the entire environment you're in (home or business network) uses the same configuration throughout. I personally used 568b to wire my house as thats the most widely used method in the industry.

What is the OD of this cable? Does it require large diameter RJ45 plugs, or will standard sized ones work?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The OD of the cable will be 6.3mm. Standard plugs may be a very snug fit. Perhaps it would be best for a large diameter plug.

Good Quality, Great Price!
The cable is good quality. The box didn't dispesnse properly, so I had to open it up and assist it, so one star deduction. Overall, I found it worth the inconvenience given the price. After termination, all drops tested OK and I had no problem making a 2.5 gigabit link (max my equipment can handle). I will buy again in the future if I need more!

Cable Rollout Royalty
Diving into cable management, I went for the Monoprice Cat6 250ft White Bulk Cable, and it's a reel deal for anyone tackling extensive wiring projects. The pure bare copper ensures a reliable connection, and the pull box makes deployment a breeze. However, the downside hits when you encounter tight corners or intricate setups - the stiffness of the cable can be a bit challenging to maneuver. If your space demands some cable acrobatics, it might require extra finesse. Overall, a royal roll for straightforward deployments, just watch out for the cable gymnastics.

Bits and bytes go BRRRRRRRRR
Almost exactly what I wanted (Monoprice allowed me to purchase the green but it somehow didn't actually make it in the box that hit my porch, so I had to place another order to get any Cat6 at all). Easy to fish through the walls of our 102-year-old house. Terminates neatly with a punchdown tool. Consistent twists and pattern make it easy for my colorblind self to work with. No complaints.

What I Expected - Very Good and Cheap Price.
It seems be of good quality. I was aware that this is a solid cable and not stranded; I choose this because of where I am using the cables that I figure that I would not be moved much at all because these are going into cable routing channels. I also wanted to check out the quality of Monoprice bulk Ethernet cables without too much cost; these things are dirt cheap.
I am quite satisfied thus far. I will still test the solid copper core wires in shorter runs just to see if I do indeed need the more expensive stranded wires.
I generally use Monoprice for my cheap quality wiring and cable connecting needs from HDMI cables to USB things and most other things because their quality is far superior to comparably priced cheap crap. They do have a lower tier of cables but why buy that when for a few more dollars you get a high quality product.

Great value for solid 23AWG Cat 6! I would buy again.
I needed some bulk high-quality CAT6 to run in-wall through part of my house and to create some custom-length cables but not 500 ft. This roll of 250' is perfect for my needs and every cable I created works just fine. This stuff is also fairly stiff which worked well for pushing it down through a finished interior wall and running across a drop-ceiling. This cable worked great with Klein push-thru connectors and a Klein stripper/crimper tool. Another great Monoprice value!

Does the job, but is less than perfect...
This does the job at a reasonable price, but I'm knocking it 1 start due to how poorly it spools out. Even following the requirement of it being "upright" (follow the arrows to show you which way is up) I found my roll to catch internally easily. a quick tug would generally free it up, but usually at the cost of the box being drug a foot or more each time you do it. If not kept taught once out, it wants to twist back into a coil, which puts it at high risk of kinking if you are pulling it through a drilled hole or other space not wide enough for the unexpected loop to make it through. In general, you're going to want to make certain you have someone monitoring the feed end of this very closely or you *will* get a kink at some point. If the kink gets force, you get a fold that ruins the turn radius limits of the wire and degrades performance.
Be careful and it will be fine.

Good cable, reasonably priced
Purchased -way- ahead of actual need. Building a new house and I'm on the hook for all the low voltage wiring. Haven't broken ground yet, so it's going to be some time before I'll actually get to run all the drops.
So far, I've made a few patch cables to replace some older CAT5 that I was using. Working fine and throughput is up a bit too as a result of replacing with CAT6.
