Most current High-Speed HDMI cables can carry HDR. The source device and TV must be at least HDMI 2.0a to transmit the metadata.

BEST ANSWER: There is more than just the length difference. The 3ft cable is not Certified. The 3ft cable is "YUV" and the Certified cable is "YCbCr".

Does anyone know the exact dimensions of the housing of the hdmi cable? Or better yet is there a drawing or datasheet somewhere with these dimensions on them? I have a connector on a board with a very small clearance.

just right
needed a short pliable. cord to go from a sff desktop computer to the monitor sitting on top of it. this fit the bill and still left slack to move the monitor around a bit. Used another to connect a small laptop to another monitor.

Less Is More
Based on a review in CNET, I tried this cable (I needed a cable with less bulk & more flexibility to connect to a ROKU). It is an excellent cable for the price and solved the bulk & weight problem from my previous cable.
In picture transfer, white on black is tight, with no gray ghosting, and rapid action movement (NBA, MLB, Action films) is smooth, not choppy.

HDMI cables dont work with Samsung Q60DR TV
These cables don work with my Samsung Q60DR tv. I am now using your older thicker monoprice hdmi cables.

AppleTV + Dolby Vision Compatible
Purchased several different lengths of these slim cables to connect AppleTV's to Vizio TV's. All of them handle Dolby Vision at 4k 60 without a hiccup. Will buy more as needed.
