I needed some simple, basic cables because I am cutting them in half to make connection cables for an electronics project that used RJ45 jacks on the PCB for simplicity. That's why I went with these, as cheap as buying ends and a spool of cable and making my own. So they are not being used in the usual manner in my case, but I'm sure they'd work fine. I usually buy slightly nicer cables to connect my network devices - buy lots of them through Monoprice, always had good quality.

Simple product. It’s a patch cable. Not a whole lot to say. If you are looking for an inexpensive cable this one is for you! I have made my own in the past but it’s way easier to just order the right length.

I am an Audio/Video installer and being most TV's, surround receivers and streaming audio systems use Cat5e or higher cables I use these all the time. It doesn't pay to make up short cables, so these are convenient. So far I haven't had any defective cables and I would recommend them to everyone.
