I’ve has to replace these cables over and over again due to failure after 2-4 months. I’m started to get sick of having to make RMA requests on these cables. Monoprice grayed out the “replace” option for my last batch and I can’t make an RMA request despite them advertising a lifetime warranty on these cables. I’ve ovly.been using the last 2 cables for 3-4 months and they both crapped out on me.
I've already had these cables replaced once. I received them and the next day the housing around the lighting end fell off. Got a replacement sent and assurance that there's a lifetime warranty. The replacement cables started to fall apart within a week of having them, but rather than email Monoprice over and over again (they don't respond), I repaired the cables myself as best I could. Now they've reached such a state that they're unusable (less than a year after purchase) and Monoprice can't replace them because they're out of stock. There's no waitlist or anything, I have to ask to be notified and hope I manage to get replacements. They couldn't even offer me something of equal value or a different version and have me pay the difference. Don't buy - spend more somewhere else and get quality that might last longer than five minutes.
