I have satellite TV service and I use an hdmi cable to connect to my primary (big) TV. I realized there were also video outlets on the back of the box, so I use this cable to "slave" a smaller set around the corner on my kitchen counter. Works just fine, picture quality is excellent on the 720p small set, and no effect on the large hdmi connected screen. No more running around the corner for the replays when I am busy in the kitchen! Only minor downside is that you can only watch the same program on both sets, since the cable box still controls the channel.
PROS: Cheaper than buying an hdmi splitter and a long hdmi cable.
ran this cable down one wall cavity, across the basement ceiling and up through another wall cavity and had to pull with a little force to get it where i needed it (was a difficult situation and couldn't reach some areas they were going through). got it all hooked up and it still worked excellently. i was concerned i would damage it by pulling on it but it is pretty tough and held up to the mistreatment. now I'm enjoying watching tv that's hanging on the wall hooked up to a/v device in my closet!
PROS: thick cable, strong, nice for pulling through holes in wall/floor for running through the house.
