It looks like it will do the job, but its very unclear in the description that this should be classified as an old work box. The description says it features metal wings for installation directly to drywall, buts its not clear that this is the only option. Ive gutted my room and was hoping to rough-in the box, and now I have to wait for drywall to be installed. Not the end of the world, but I like these types of installations to be as clean as possible. I dont see a new work type box available on Monoprice.

Well made unit, showed up with everything needed. Template fit, but it would have been nice if it had allowances for the extensions behind the wall. The outlet included was even manufactured by Hubble, a reputable brand.

Arrived in a timely fashion, was easy to cut the hole in the wall and fit all the wires in properly. Great product at a great price!

did the trick. even allowed me to pug in a small surge suppressor which fit in the recess of this unit.
