BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can sit on it with the handle retracted or lay it flat and stand on it. I do both and that's the main reason I bought it. I do wish the case had a longer handle. I am 6'3" and my heel hits it every now and then as I'm walking. If you are 6 ft tall or less this should not be a problem.

unless you're the weight of an elephant I would say that sitting on it is no problem. It seals tightly and securely. You should take a look at the product specifications to make sure, however.

I see there is only one layer of foam that fills the entire case. Can the foam be pulled apart horizontally, or does removing a piece require removing it completely, from top to bottom?

BEST ANSWER: there is 1 layer on the roof of the case and 3 layers in the base of the case. each layer in the base is pluckable. the removal is vertical, but each layer of the base is only 2" thick.

BEST ANSWER: I don’t know what those dimensions are. It fits my DeLonghi small espresso machine. It’s about 12” high, 8” wide and 10” deep. There are hard plastic parts to the case but we were able to move the frothing wand a tad so it closes fine.

I'm not familiar with the amia dialysis machine, but from the looking at it on the web site. I would say no. The only way to guarantee a fit is to find the measurements of the machine in question.

These aren't the same as the two stage hinges on the Pelican, but they are ok. The Pelican hinges are better in my opinion.

Can anyone tell me if this case will accommodate Pelican accessories like the Pelican 1519 Lid Organizer or their padded divider set?

BEST ANSWER: It should fit the padded divider set as the interior dimensions are nearly the same. As for the lid organizer, on the pelican 1510 there is an extra amount of plastic molded into the lid where the screws for the divider tap into so they wont breach the top. If these bosses are not included with the Monoprice version, then the lid organizer will need to be attached another way. Most likely by some sort of adhesive.

hi thanks for your reply, I am aware of the foam that comes with the case, but I wanted to know if this case can fit pelican accessories. I am not a fan of foam and wanted to fit this case with the lined padded that pelican offers, as well as the pouches that fit in the lid.

Is this case TSA Friendly? Will it fit in overhead storage? According to the dimensions listed here on this page, it's about an inch too thick (TSA says 9 inches max. is case is 10 inches)?

BEST ANSWER: I have successfully flown with this case as a carry-on between LAX, JFK, MCO, and DEN on American Airlines. It fits in their little size checker at the airport.
I tend to only fly American, so I can't speak on any of the other ones. One thing to note is that I had a small plane once on American (Operated by American Eagle), and I had to fit the case length-wise in the over head bin. Somebody's personal bag got the boot. The flight attendant made the owner put it under their seat. Lol.

Can I buy spare set of foams for my cases... I bought 2 back in March 2017... and the foam pieces lost their shape and broke apart, what I consider normal based on the use I gave them. How can I get new set of foams for my boxes?

Lots of space, water tight and durable. New Wheels
I bought my case years ago to tote audio equipment back and forth to the three bars I do trivia. So i drag it around the streets about four miles a week. I gutted the foam, so I can't speak to how well that works. But with it remove it is amazing. I even took it out of the top foam and ground off the plastic 'fins' that were holding it in place. mush more room. The outside really takes a beating. and stands up quite well in all kinds of weather. I live in Seattle and it rains, and rains, and rains. So when I say it's weather tight I mean it. I would say that if you drag yours around like I do the pavement can wear down the wheels. The other cases have wheels that maybe can be replaced. But this one definitely can. It does look like there are new (rounded and softer rubber wheels) as is evident in the description pictures. The stock pics show the old wheels. I just replaced my wheels with inline skate wheels (90mm) and they are so much quieter. I must say that there is another retailer (A to Z, basics) that carries one that is almost identical. You might want to check prices to see who's is on sale for cheaper.

Sturdy protective case for camera gear
Sturdy case, and foam is easy to modify. The pull apart foam can get pretty fragile in some areas so you have to be a little gentle pulling things in and out so you don't tear more loose. Overall though I think it should work well for my needs.

What a sturdy product, & great price. In the future maybe consider a foam piece about 1 1/2 inch of foam sheet without knock outs, to give a cleaner finished look. Great buy!
