BEST ANSWER: Yes the back side is a female either net cat5/6. I used an electrical box that may need modifications depending on you application and entry point. Works as expected

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The RJ45 coupler installed on this wall plate will be rated for Cat5e. You can use Cat6A cables with it if you had wished. Just keep in mind this will limit you to Cat5e speeds.

BEST ANSWER: This would allow for pass though of a 4k signal.
However, due to the nature of active HDMI cables you would only be able to use a Cabernet cable if you have it connected directly to the display after connecting it to the wall plate.
Any other setup using an active HDMI and a wall plate is unlikely to work.

Hi - does anyone know if the white keystone that's pictured here for the Ethernet can be swapped for a blue keystone instead? Reason being we like to designate data ports with blue instead of white. Thx

Can the HDMI keystone be removed? It looks like the recessed portion cannot but the HDMI keystone looks like it can be removed.

Is it possible to connect three of these cables together with two couplers and still pass 4K @60Hz 4:4:4? I'd be looking at: 3-6 foot run behind wall + 10 foot run from TV to one wall + 10-15 foot run from wall to source. Total length would be between 23-31 feet. Alternative would be to purchase the 25 foot cable and run it direct from source to TV through the wall without any couplers.

If I could get a little clarification, please: I have two of these already installed with a Cabernet inbetween, but I'm upgrading the HDMI to 34846 DynamicView for use with a new 4K projector. I don't need ARC or eARC, just looking for picture quality. If I use DynamicView cables in the setup AVR -> DV cable -> faceplate -> DV cable -> faceplate -> DV cable -> projector would this cause any picture quality issues? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: I am not an expert, and I do not have any dynamic view cabling. However, the HDMI coupler that’s part of this plate is simply a double female coupler. I think your question would be answered by cable length. What is the maximum distance for dynamic view HDMI? I think that’s the question you need to answer in order to determine if there will be signal loss or quality issues.

Here is a quick tip in case it helps others. Some HDMI cabling is directional. When I installed this jack and connected the cable to the receiver, it didn't work. I later discovered the reason was that I ran the HDMI cable backwards. So just a quick tip for others, make sure you run your HDMI cables the correct direction.

Perfect for Wall Mount TV
I installed this behind a TV I mounted above a fireplace.
This allowed me to run CAT 6 cable and HDMI cable through the wall and then run just a couple of short cables from the wall plate to the TV itself.
Worked perfect.

Functional but fragile
Although these face plate do work, the way they are made makes them fragile. It seems that any tension on them from the cords inside the wall break them.
