This will work with bose speakers ub 20 series?
A shopper
on Jul 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I do not own those speakers but from what I see on various sites (including the Crutchfield, tutorial video about this) one must predictably use proprietary, Bose brackets designed specifically for those speakers. The Monoprice brackets work well with any speakers that have a standard, pre-drilled hole in the back -- something the Bose speakers seem to be lacking.

Not familiar with that specific speaker system, but it will work with any speakers using 1/4"-20NC threaded mounts, and will easily hold up to a 20 lb speaker.

My speakers are 22 inches tall with the pivot point mount 1/3 way up. The back face of the speaker is only 3 inches off the wall. So they will tilt forward about 15 degrees. But only back about 5 degrees

Will these mount up to an electrical box in the wall?
A shopper
on Jun 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This wall mount's back plate (the plate that is attached to wall) is smaller than a one-gang electrical box. You'd need to attach this back plate to an electric box cover plate first then secure cover plate to electrical box. Might work if your intended speaker is small and light.

The speakers will need a 1/4" threaded insert(female) for the mounts to work. I found the speakers online and now where did I read that the speakers have the 1/4" threaded insert. If you have the speakers check in the back, if there is a threaded hole try and screw in 1?4" bolt. If the speaker doesn't have the threaded insert than this mount will not work.

I have Definitive Technology PM1000's and PM 800s I need to mount. Anyone use these mounts with either of these speakers?
Dennis E
on Aug 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I use it with both of those. I'd say it sort of works, but not very well. The problem is that the screw mount on those speakers is fairly low, making them top heavy. So the speakers would tend to rotate upside down with the slightest nudge. After playing with it for a while, I did manage to get it to be reasonably secure. I tightened it as hard as I possibly could and then some. I think I also put in an additional spacer to make it work better, but I forgot now and am out travelling. Anyway, they haven't toppled in 8+ months though I didn't bump into them yet. Also, I think the screw is a little long, so the speakers stick out a little more than I'd like. FYI, I did not try the keyhole mount.

Works with Def. Tech. keyhole with extra hardware
Def. Tech. SR9080 are my speakers, but it is likely the same problem with all Def. Tech. keyhole's speakers as I assume they are the same. The keyhole configuration that Monoprice sends gives the M6 and M6 nut, but the head of that screw is too large to fit into the keyhole. One of the slightly smaller one, maybe M4 or M5 works, but you have to buy the corresponding nut. I have yet to hang this so that is far as this review can go, but they seem like they will hold the 13 lbs. alright. Off to the store I go!

Great wall mounts for light speakers
Secure, easy to assemble and well designed. Excellent price. The speaker system I have used these with are the Monoprice ATMOS Premium 5.1.2 Channel Immersive Home Theater System with Subwoofer. The 4 surround speakers are much lighter than 22 lbs, but they did fit perfectly and mounted easily on the wall. Adjustability was sufficient for my purposes.

Worked well
I used these wall mounts for my Monoprice Immersion speakers which are on the heavy side. They were easy to mount (but be careful of over tightening or the bracket wont go in easily). They hold my speakers well but I'm concerned that the plastic will eventually crack or wear out in time. I'll just have to wait and see.
All hardware is included and the speaker stud fit the mounting on the back of my speakers without issue. If your speakers are on the heavy side, maybe look at something a little more heavy duty. I don't think they will safely hold the maximum weight specified in the specs.

Great bang for the buck
Installation was fairly simple and straightforward. Be careful in torquing down the base plate as doing it too much will make it difficult to slide the bracket in place. Nice adjustable mount for my Klipsch 5.1 surround system. Definitely recommend, and a great value.
