We chose this patch cable for use in our product we sell for these reasons, uses copper wire - no aluminum, the clip is easy to operate, the cable size fits our application, great price, and it looks well made.
I have paid a lot more for ethernet cables for far less quality than these. I purchased a few of these about 4 years ago but forgot where I bought them from. Then over the past few years I tried other types and had poor results. Then one day I came across the original order i placed for these and was so happy! They are really well made and they last for ages! Mine get used for stage work and are transported to each show walked on, and quite abused - yet these Monoprice cables keep going strong. I will ONLY purchase these from now on!
It is a cat5 cable. It connects one internet hole to the other. Not much to it, and the cord gets it done well. The skinny tab-presser is a very nice addition, because that it always the hard part of these cables.
PROS: +FLEXboot cable-tab-depressor works nicely +cable quality is not awful.
