good quality cables that don't feel cheap and will hold up to my pretty tight bend radius needs. they plug in well and can handle repeated plug in/outs. the lengths and colors were as expected.

It's been years since I last purchased ethernet cables, and with the upgrade of both cable modem and router/firewall, it was time to replace the CAT 5e cables. So, I went online shopping, being 75 miles from the nearest computer store.

On Amazon I quickly figured-out that the only way to buy at a reasonable price was to buy quantity, at least five of the same cable, but doing that I'd be ending up with about half the cables being unused. Then, add the price of shipping for non-prime customers and that killed any purchase from that company.

I went looking through old PDF records for my last purchase of cables and found an invoice from Monoprice (e-mail address changed over the years, Monoprice staff).

On Monoprice I built an order for exactly the count I needed and added 1 more to each cable length as a spare and saved at least 40% over what I would have paid anywhere else.

And, the order arrived with within two days!

I'll start my shopping for cables, connectors and adapters here next time. A picture of my spares follows...

The reason for the purchase of these 3 ft. cables were to wiring up some equipment in the rack. Since the equipment were almost rack on top of each other and it will not be removed any time soon, I wanted to dress the cable up neatly. With the 3 ft. cables that worked out very well and it was perfect.
