I love monoprice cables. I have been in IT for 20 years and monoprice stuff just works. I can make cables my self but for all the standard sizes why, monoprice is cheaper and the work.

I ordered the cables, given that they are shielded, for running through my attic across the house from one room to another. With the heat in Florida, it's just safetry precautions, so, I went with the shielded cables, and since I was running through walls, I didn't want to deal with the boot on the cable. Of course, fishing the wires through the walls required me to tape the clips so that they wouldn't break, but, that was just common sense. Once through the walls, everything was working as expected. My performance over wifi was originally too slow, for the speeds that I'm paying for, which is why I decided to go the hardwire route. With this cable, I'm recieving the true speeds that I expect from my cable modem, which is, again, what I expected versus wifi. Thanks again, for timely delivery, reasonable pricing, and an overall great transaction.

PROS: Cost, build, shielded cables, future proof.

CONS: The only nitpick I have is that the clips should come with a piece of bubble wrap around them, when being packaged...but, that doesn't detract from buying the cables, at all.

I have recently purchased a 35 ft non ZEROboot Cat6A 24AWG STP cable from Monoprice. It was a very good quality and fast but I found out it was too short. I need a 100ft cable. After some searching, I found the ZEROboot series Cat6a which was cheaper than the normal version. According to Gabby V, a very helpful stuff member from Monoprice, both types of cable are identical except the ZEROboot cable does not have a rubber surrounding the plug. Which in my opinion, is a con because it's easier to pull the cable out.



This cable has very good build quality. The plug feels sturdy enough to make me believe it will last long time and not break easily like my old unbranded Cat5e cable. With my old cable, I got around 70Mbps of downloading speed which was slow because my internet plan should give better result than that. After installing this cable, I am able to reach 130+Mbps. I have also tried the 35ft normal model and it gave around same speed to the ZEROBoot.



I am very happy with this cable because of its build quality, speed, and price. Will definitely buy from Monoprice again if I need any type of cable.
