PROS: I purchased these as an option alternative to a traditional "ammo can". I use these to store and transport ammo. I comparison to my other cases which are BOYT, I have to say I am very impressed. The foam that is included is set up in multiple layers and would be very easily customization for any type of equipment. The handles are sturdy and the clasps are tight fitting.
CONS: The one only gripe I have, and this one just blows my mind on how they designed such a good case and didn't see the importance of this. The top and bottoms do not interlock for secure stacking. In fact they are actually opposite of secure. Its like the person that designed the top and the bottom didn't get along on purpose. I own 12 of these. I bought 7 at first and was highly depressed when I got them loaded and started to stack them and noticed they were not secure...I wouldn't say I would recommend against them, but I would rethink my project if I would have known they did not stack well. My only con, but it does bother me.
PROS: Tough plastic, strong latches, nice rubber gasket and foam.
CONS: The only thing I can think to gripe about is that the pluck foam is only perforated vertically, which means that when you pull segments out, they pull from the entire height of the foam block. This means that you can't form the foam in varying depths throughout the block.
PROS: Deeper case than most in this size range
Reasonable price makes protecting your medium cost items practical.
Rubber coated handle is nice
CONS: Latches a bit hard to open and close
Sealing surface not as robust as the high priced cases
Manual vent valve, must remember to close
Bottom feet do not stack with another same size case
PROS: Seems to be tough as nails. Good atmospheric seal.
CONS: Harder to close than I expected but I think that might be a good thing and it can be hacked to be easier with a file if that's your druthers.
PROS: Strong, very protective, measures as described
CONS: Latches start out a bit tight but seem to break in well with use (not a big issue)
PROS: Airtight, durable, black
CONS: foam is thicker than pictured
PROS: Airtight, waterproof, solid build, sturdy snap latches.
PROS: Heavy Duty
I can't speak as to how it will hold up to weather because i don't plan on leaving these outside or in the rain, but they do have a rubber o-ring type seal around the lid of the case. These went on sale at 12.99 and i bought one and was happy, then they went to 8.55, what a steal at this price if you can get one!!
