What is the difference between items 10469 and 10470? Load bearing capacity and compatible TV sizes appear to be the same. The only visual difference seems to be the shape of the piece that attaches to the wall.

What's the length of the arm from wall to TV ?
    A shopper on Dec 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello, thank you for your question. The maximum extension as listed in the specifications is 17.5 inches, also the minimum extension is listed as 2 inches. I hope this helps, and of course if you have any more questions feel free to contact us!
I want the TV to be several inches to one side of my nearest stud. Can the the TV be shifted sideways on the articulated arms? If so, how far? Or only in/out and swivel?
    A shopper on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: That should be no problem. On my 60" HDTVs there is space on each side of the two vertical bars that mount to the TV. These can be loosened and slid laterally. Depending on the weight of the TV, and the amount the TV is moved to the side there could be some tilting of the tv. I'd think it would allow a few inches of lateral movement without problems, however. There are plenty of adjustments available. I just ordered another minutes ago.
It looks like from the pictures that when this mount is fully compressed against the wall it sits a little off center because it has to swing to one side. My question is do you have the option to swing either left OR right of center?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes, you would be able to swing it to the left or the right.

is the level on this mount consistent? I.e. if the TV is level when pressed flat against the wall, will it still be level when pulled out? I've had mounts that are only level in one position.
    Simon C on Jan 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: As long as you don’t twist the tv, and the mount was level when you installed it, the level will stay when the tv is moved. It really comes down to the initial install, and whether the TV was leveled when it was attached. The bracket does not have vertical give on either arm, regardless of position
Is this a SINGLE STUD mount?
    A shopper on Oct 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, multiple bolt anchors all on the same wall stud.
can this be mounted to concrete or block?
    New User U on May 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't see any reason it couldn't be mounted to concrete or block as long as properly sized Tapcons or other concrete anchors are used. I have it mounted to wood and had the opportunity to frame more than a single stud behind the bracket but needless to say, I'm quite satisfied with the sturdiness of this bracket. It's been in use outside in FL for more than a year with no problems.
The center of the TV doesn't line up with a stud. Can I use this mount to adjust so the TV is in the center?
    A shopper on Nov 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You can mount it using some good drywall anchors. I have had three TVs mounted this way for several years and they’re rock solid.
My Samsung 55" VERSA is 400x400. If I understand correctly the VERSA of this mount at 600x400 works?
    A shopper on May 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes, this mount would fit your 400x400 VESA on your TV. Just be sure that the weight of your TV does not exceed the weight limit of 99 lbs.

I am intending on mounting this in my commercial office space. Does this have to mount to a stud/metal stud or can I mount this direct into the sheetrock? I was planning on using Wall Anchor screws/Auger Screws to mount this direct to sheetrock.
    Jimmy L on Apr 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This mount contains six good sized lag bolts (approximately 0.25" x 2.25", likely metric) with plastic wall anchors for drywall mounting. use them all as there will be a lot of weight hanging on the articulating arms. Both my TVs were fastened to studs, but I will bet that these anchors would work well.

I was impressed not only with the design, but with the engineering forethought that went into this mount. The mount came with about every type of fastener you could imagine you might possibly need, but most weren't needed. The designers covered all the bases.
Will this bracket work on a curved tv (specifically LG OLED55C6P)?
    A shopper on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This mount will be able to accommodate the 400x200mm VESA hole mounting pattern on your LG TV. It will also be able to hold the weight of the TV (29.1lbs w/o stand) just fine. Curved TV's typically require the use of the included spacers and some Curved TV's will include spacers for mounting purposes. I hope this helps.

What is the depth of the mount from the wall?
    A shopper on Jan 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: As measured from the wall to the front of the mounting bracket: 2.75" compressed; 16.75" fully extended.
My mount holes, vertical, are 16 inches apart. Will this mount work? TV is 50 inches.
    A shopper on Jan 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: To determine compatibility with a TV mount to your TV, please determine the VESA mounting pattern on the back of your TV. It is the 4 screw hole square formation on the back and it is usually listed on the TV specs or you can find out by measuring it yourself(measured in millimeters). Our TV mounts range from 50x50mm to 1000x700 and up so please check the TV mount specs for compatibility as well. I hope this helps, thank you!
What are the dimensions of the wall attachment base? Particularly the height?

BEST ANSWER: The footprint is approximately 13.5" x 6.5"
The mounting holes on my television are near the bottom of the TV. I am concerned that the vertical arms of this mount will extend beyond the bottom of the television and be visible to viewers. Can the position of the vertical arms be adjusted?

Very nice mount with one minor exception
I used this to mount a 50" Samsung LED, around 40 pounds. This mount is extremely well engineered and built like a tank. I probably could have hung my own weight from this. Don't be scared of the single stud mount. It's very sturdy. I really like the simplicity of the way the TV bracket assembly mounts to the swivel base on the wall. It makes it a snap to install and remove if needed. About 15 seconds to mount or remove..

The only reason I didn't give it a perfect 10 rating is because of the rotation capability. The listing says a full 60 degrees left and right. I assume smaller LED sets will allow this, but with a 50" set, the side of the TV contacts the wall at about 45 degrees. No further rotation is possible. That's acceptable for my needs but the literature should be revised to warn that larger sets may have less rotation capability.

As others have indicated, the bracket that mounts to the TV's VESA holes can obstruct access to the antenna, power and component jacks. I don't consider this any fault of the mount all TVs are different. The point is that this kit contains standoff spacers to allow the TV bracket to be spaced a bit away from the set to allow better access to those jacks and connections when they're obstructed by the bracket parts. Good design anticipation on the manufacturer's part.

All in all, I'm happy with this mount and would buy it again.

PROS: Well designed and built, reasonable cost, easy install.

    CONS: Somewhat limited rotation

Godd overall bracket, but has 1 issue that can be annoying
The only issue I have is the way that they articulating backet attaches to the solid bracket on the TV. If you look at the installation instruction PDF that is on the page, look at Step 6. You will see that there are 2 thumbscrews that have to be tightened that hold the TV to the articulating arm. The top thubscrew is tightened pretty tight, but every time I pull the TV out or swivel the TV, the TV shifts up or down on the left or right side and has to be re-leveled. If would be nice if that could just be set, and when you move the TV you do not have to re-level the TV on the left or right side.

PROS: Fully articulating is a definite plus, and that you can mount it on one stud is also a great feature. Buikld quality for the mount is also good.

CONS: TV swivels up and down on the left and right sides every time you pull the articulating arms out to change the position of the TV.

    Great TV Mount
Pros explained: Ill make this short and sweet. I have a 52" LCD Sony Bravia that is now hung on this mount. It is a few years old so it is fairly heavy, I'd guess around 95lbs. This mount holds the TV perfectly. Safe and Secure.

    Cons explained:

Needed to upgrade to Toggle Bolts instead of using the included Dry Wall Mollies. Not a huge problem, and may not be necessary to some, but I am very paranoid about this TV falling off the wall because I have pets and babies/children in the house. I used 1/4 X 3in Toggle bolts and the TV is VERY sturdy and tight to the wall even when fully extended and/or swiveled. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

PROS: Great bang for the buck, Solid mount, Very sturdy, Easy to install, Looks great, Swivel is tight.

CONS: Needed to upgrade to Toggle Bolts instead of using the included Mollies. Not a huge problem, and may not be necessary to some, but I am very paranoid about this TV falling off the wall because I have pets and babies/children in the house. Look no further
Great mount. Everything is easy to follow and easy to put together. The cardboard layout is great to have and easy to follow. I felt the bolts provided were ample and strong enough to use alone for this 60 TV. After I laid out the correct pattern and drilled away, everything went like cakework. The mount went exactly where the cardboard layout showed where to drill. Using the supplied parts, the mount went on the wall effortlessly and surprisingly very easily. Then I slide the TV rails to the correct lateral distance to where the TV holes were and with the many holes/options on this mount, I was able to fit the many supplied bolts to screw in my TV perfectly. (they give you about 5 different bolt angles and lengths.) Then by myself, I lifted the 55" Samsung up to the mount and easily slid it on. Then with two quick turns to tighten the round nuts from the mount to the TV part, I was finished. I did have to level the TV using the quick turns again, but it was super easy. With ease, I can pull my TV out pretty far, tilt down/up, turn left/right, and push it back in to almost to the wall. The plastic covers that hide the bolts etc are very aesthetic and look nice even when the TV is extended more than a foot.

Overall, I was pretty nervous about putting a very expensive TV on such an affordable mount, but after my experience, I would recommend this mount to anyone. It was super easy to put up even if you have never done it before. The directions are great and the mount allows the TV to be moved in any way that the user would want. The mount is very sturdy and well built. Stop looking. Just buy it and be happy.

PROS: easy to follow and labeled directions and parts.

CONS: Top plastic hide cover a little loose, but easily fixed.

    5/5
Overall, this is a very strong, sturdy mount for the money. It only uses one stud, so your TV must be centered on that stud. This is a full motion mount, however, so it isn't a huge issue, only when fully pressed against the wall. I tried to slide to one side the brackets and screw studs on the universal adapter plate (that screws onto the back of the TV) so that the TV could be hung slightly off center of the stud, but the thumbscrews didn't want to hold the TV level with it not centered on the mount. I talked with Monoprice, and they strong advised leaving the TV mounted on the center of the mount, and not adjusting the adapter plate in that way.

That leads me to another weakness. The entire TV is held on with just 2 little screw studs and nuts. The top thumbscrew is nonadjustable, while the bottom is slotted, allowing the 3 degrees of rotation, and leveling. I'm sure this is completely safe from an engineering perspective, but based on the rest of the mount's seeming overly strong design, this seems like a bit of a weak-point. What is definitely a weak-point, though, is that the bottom thumbscrew is difficult to properly tighten with just your thumb and finger as it is designed to be. The weight of my 71 pound TV, even when properly center on the adapter plate and the mount, wanted to still move within that bottom slot when only hand tightened. It could be tightened enough by hand, but just a little pressure on one end of the TV, and it would rotate. I decided to tighten these thumbscrews up a bit more with a pair of pliers, though I was careful not to do much more that I could with my hand for fear of causing another issue.

Overall, it appears to be a very well built, strong mount. I am happy with the purchase.

PROS: Good price, sturdy, pretty easy to install

CONS: Cable routing feature poorly integrated, only uses single stud, cheap plastic covers, thumbscrews instead of tool tightened for final mounting and leveling
    July 31, 2014
    Very High Quality
I always overbuild whatever I make. That way, I never have to worry. When I searched for a TV mount for my "chunk of depleted-uranium-with-lead shielding" glass screened SONY Bravia 55" (75lbs!) I hoped this was as good as it appeared in the online pics. It was.

Heavy cast arms pivot off a heavy back plate using heavy bolts with friction nuts. I weigh 200 lbs and could chin-up off this mount without fazing it, as long as it is securely mounted in the wall.

The hardware package is so complete I now have a ton of great metric hardware leftover for future projects. The only thing I added was two 6" long 1/4 inch lag bolts as insurance. Along with the six smaller (good quality) lags they included with the package, this mount is absolutely secure holding up my super-heavy TV.

China takes a lot of well deserved hits for shoddy products these days. I have purchased four MonoPrice mounts for my re-model and every one of them was absolutely exemplary in both construction quality and fit and finish. One was a little stiff at first but, I spent a couple minutes man-handling the joints before mounting the TV and the TV glides very nicely now. You could probably add a little silicone spray to the joints if yours was stiff before mounting.

TV handling etiquette tip: When using a sweet double-mount like this model, it is better for your TV if you reach behind the panel and move the mount. Wrenching on huge screens to swivel the TVs places extra stress on the circuit board which comprises the interior frame of the TV. A double mount can "lock-up" if swiveled into corners. Trying to center the TV can place big loads on the TV "innards" where pulling on the mount moves it easily - and makes your TV last longer.

Buy with confidence. These products are first-rate.

    PROS: Massively over-built

    Well engineered

    Kaboodles of hardware!

    High-quality package.

    Dual load-path with two arms

CONS: (Minor) The center of the TV mount is different than the center of the wall mount. Takes a little measuring to figure out where the mount goes to get your TV centered in the space you desire. Would be awesome if they included those two points in the nice cardboard template they provide.

    Solid build and clever design
Well build and certainly sturdy enough to mount my 65" TV. Mount point to TV not as adjustable as I had hoped based on the number of holes that are visible., but perhaps this is due to the placement of the mount points on my Sony TV. My only real complaint is that there were no instructions in the box, which translated to a longer installation time and high price for me as I had to pay my AV contractor by the hour. I would be willing to pay a few dollars more to get high quality directions and a link to an installation video or a demonstration of how to assemble and adjust the unit.

There just is not another mount that I have seen that compares in terms of functionality and attractiveness.
I not only would recommend this full motion mount, I liked it so well that I bought a second for another 60 inch TV. It came with all of the fasteners needed, even if I didn't have a flat back on my TV. There just is not another mount that I have seen that compares in terms of functionality and attractiveness.

    Excellent Mount
As with most products these days that require installation, the instructions weren't particularly helpful. But, then, it's not that complicated. The mount is attractive, although that isn't important, as it is hidden behind the TV. One distinct advantage of the mount is that you mount it to just one stud. Finding studs is always fun . Once you do find the stud, though, the lag bolts go in securely, and the bolts are plenty big enough. It won't fall. The instructions show initially mounting only the back plate first. But I wasn't interested in taking the arms off so I just had my wife help me hold the whole mount against the wall until I secured the first bolt. I would follow the recommended pilot hole size. My wife (of course) wanted the TV (55" Samsung) at an exact height, so I had some measuring to do. Since the mount swings out, placing the TV on the mount is relatively easy, though it is a two-person job. . I've read other reviews that suggest some unease with the security of the large silver mounting screws that hold the TV to the mount. But remember, the weight of the TV is going to help it stay in place in the notches. I did use pliers to tighten additionally, though don't go crazy thinking that more is necessarily better. The range of the mount is exactly as stated and is not particularly hard to pull away from the wall or pivot to the angle you prefer. You can adjust the tension if needed. I had no issues with leveling and still don't. One of the main reasons I chose this mount is that it reputedly sits almost flat against the wall. Indeed it does and provides a nice crisp look. It looks good, though hidden, and is plenty sturdy. I've read that it is best to grab the arms of the mount rather than the TV when pulling and rotating (something about delicate electronics) but I haven't been able to do that with this mount as there is no horizontal bar to grab easily. And the bottom of my TV sits too low on the vertical arms. I probably need to work with the mount a bit more to see if this can be solved. I tend to get prints on the screen if I'm not careful as the bevel on the TV is pretty thin. Overall, though, I'd say this mount does everything promised in the ad. I'm recommending it to you and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
