Used these to cap soldered-end 12 gauge speaker wire. Loosened the side-screw, slid in wire, and tightened without any issues. Unfortunately, the pin receptacles on the amp aren?t very deep: the receptacles held the grooved pin-tips securely, but the plugs stuck-out every which way. Had to add heat-shrink tubing to plug body to electrically insulate each plug from the adjacent plugs. Aside from needing to insulate, weight and quality were good.

They provide a much more secure connection than bare twisted wires. If the speakers were bumped or moved the connection would sometimes be broken. No chance of that happening now.

Solved my problem... Speakers sound clean again!

I purchased these to keep my wires from shorting out when plugged into the speakers. They work great for it. There are a couple of things I wish these had different. I wish the prong was shorter as it sticks out and threatens to fall out while it's in the slot. also, I needed to use electrical tape over one of the ends as the holes in the speakers were very close together. After that, everything works great.

They seem to be working great so far. I used them for my jbl surround sound.
