Does it stop working after a surge and need to be replaced? Or is it “reset” like traditional surge protectors?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, this product has the auto-shutoff feature and will stop supplying power after surge protection is all used up. It may survive smaller surges, in which case it would keep working. However once the protective element is consumed by either a bigger surge or by smaller surges over time, the LED light will stop illuminating and power will be cutoff to protect equipment. Yes, if you overload the surge protector with too many appliances like I did, you will Burn-Out the surge protector.
I still have extra surge protectors in use, I like the LED illumination for a night light .

I lost the screw, what size is it?

BEST ANSWER: I would hope is this same size as the screw that holds a normal, standard face plate. It looks recessed so it doesn't need to be longer. Hope that helps.

Easy to install works great. I like the green indicator light bar on top of unit to verify that your devices are protected. Solid unit well made great value.

Bright light
Works as advertised. Haven't had an electrical surge to test the protection but it's mostly intended to expand the available outlets in a corner of my living room. The green light on top is unnecessarily bright, it doubles as an oddly colored nightlight.

Very happy with the surge protector.
This outlet expander serves the purpose very well Easy to install and great for expanding the number of outlets available for use. The outlet is on a 20 AMP line and works very well within those limits.

bright light but did its job
this has a very bright green light, however it did sacrifice itself when my wife started the microwave while the space heater was running simultaneously. it died an honorable death.
