Can you install on a wall stud because it says it is made for brick or concrete?
A shopper
on Aug 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I mounted it to an interior wall. I used lag bolt to screw into wall studs it only has two anchor points on the center line of the mount. I have a 42 inch TV and its pretty lite. It works just fine for the few times I need to swing TV around.

Absolutely. You can attach it to any surface you'd prefer, really - wood, brick, stone... I mounted mine on a stud in the center, with fasteners through the plaster on the outside of the mount for rotational stability. Works perfectly.

Yes, you can. Just use regular screws and no masonry anchors. I installed it on the outside wall of a closet in my rv. There was no stud available so I added some wood to the inside of the wall to mimic the thickness of a stud.

Yes. I installed this wall mount into drywall using the wall stud as the primary anchor point and have had no issues. You will have to get proper fasteners as I recall since the hardware included is for masonry.

Absolutely. Just make sure you anchor at least 2 screws into a stud or solid wood. Good anchors in the drywall will work as well IF the TV is not pulled on to heavily.

New User U
on Feb 19, 2021
BEST ANSWER: No. There is a good degree of turn but the mount will not allow the TV to move that far out from the wall. The pivot mechanism is not designed for 90 degree viewing.

I am building a cabinet to store my computer setup when it’s not in use. To make sure the door can clear the monitors, it would be helpful to know the thickness of this mount (how far it sticks out from the wall) when it is fully retracted. This is without the monitor — I’ll add the monitor depth later. Has anyone measured this?

I just measured my wall mount, and I would give yourself at least 3 inches (not including the monitor thickness), to be conservative.

I understand the max display size on the spec sheet is 42". I have a 43" HDTV, but with a fairly slim bezel. Will this bracket fit? (weight is not an issue, it is only 22lb)
Hans E
on Oct 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The size limitation of our brackets usually has to do with the leverage of the screen on the bracket. Your slim bezel 43" should be fine.

Is the mount capable of being locked in the collapsed position?
A shopper
on Jul 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: What do you mean by "locked"? To where it doesn't extend or swivel? Or pushed flush and left collapsed? You can tighten and adjust to be "locked" flush but someone can simply pull it to extend.. There is not definitive lock feature but if you completely tighten it down it does not extend easily. Just need to tighten the top and bottom screws on the extension arms.

I have a 15.3" convertible laptop with touch screen that I want to be able to sometimes mount on my kitchen wall in tablet format. I cannot find any dedicated wall mounts designed for convertible laptops as tablets. I am looking for a low profile VESA mount where I can add a laptop plate (such as the Huano Laptop steel tray). I only have a tiny amount of wall space but would like some articulation. I need a VESA laptop plate that will attach to this mount that has holding clips or straps that allow the laptop to frequently/easily/safely be mounted and removed. I want a small amount of articulation. Any suggestions?

Less than 2" in depth
Using bracket against closet woodwork, swings out of the way when I open closet. Woodwork is less than 1" elevated from the wall, TV mounts flush against the woodwork. I use a pull down screen mounted in front of the TV for projection equipment, Screen sits about 5" with TV being about 3" deep. Could not want a better bracket for a TV that needs to swing to the left. Bracket strong and fits into beam. Exceeded my expectations!

Easy to install - both to the TV and to the wall. Depending on where and how your HDMI connector is on your TV, you may want to invest in a right angle HDMI connector.

Very slim mount for extra wide monitor
I spent a few hours looking for a small and thin mount for an extra wide monitor. I had ordered and returned a previous mount which was too thick and massive. This monoprice mount was perfect for this use case in my home office.
