How high is the front lip ?

BEST ANSWER: 1/4" it's definitely not as clean as a look like most shelves. Great value for the price.

Front lip I measured to 7/8" from the outside and the back lip is 9/16" from the outside.

Looking to screw into wall studs at 16". At 19 inches, looks like this might be too wide?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it would bet too wide for 16-inch on center studs. But you could also take a 19-inch flat board, screw that into the 2 studs and then screw this piece onto the flat board.

Correct, that would be too wide. You can always mount plywood between studs, and then screw the shelf to the plywood.

Question regarding the spacing of the holes in the mounting tabs. The description given does not make sense. What is the vertical spacing, center to center of the two vertical mounting holes?

Are the back plates that are screwed in flush? I am looking to screw this into a wall to use as a shelf.

BEST ANSWER: Yes they are flush. It can be screwed to a wall. Keep in mind you will need some pretty serious anchors like togglers if your screwing it to a drywall wall.

Can this shelf be mounted so the shelf is positioned inside the rack rather than extending outward from the front? Or, because I imagine rack dimensions may vary, what is the outside width exclusive of the ears?

Does what it was meant to do, and seems pretty sturdy. I wish it has some vent holes/grills on the bottom/side, but I knew that going in.
