Stage Right by Monoprice ix6B 6-Channel Live Sound and Recording Mixer with Bluetooth, USB, and Effects
BEST ANSWER: Hello Kevin,
The DEL knob is for the delay. I think the REP knob looks like it's for adjusting the number of repetitions the delay sends. But I'm not certain about the REP knob.
Hope that help.

They refer to a built in delay/chorus effect. Not really useful. Better to use a plug-in in your DAW or an outboard effect.

Does this pass the L/R mains via USB or all 8 channels?

Given the lack of response, I assume the USB output is a stereo mixdown. If it's actually passing 8 individual channels (or 8 plus a stereo mixdown) then this is the best deal in the history of audio interfaces and Monoprice ought to trumpet that feature at the top of the page.

Finally got to try this little mixer in a 4 piece situation with our 4 piece band. 3 of us sing… with the piano going Di to our 2 JBL Eon 1000 watt 15”’s powered cabs. Love this little console but had a tough time getting a crisp high end with our vocals with this mixer. I turned up the hi end/treble control and turned bass control almost off to get rid of the slightly muffled vocal tone with this eq. I’m reading around and haven’t seen yet the eq frequencies with the low and hi end controls… shouldn’t be that difficult choosing the right frequency to get a decent crisp eq outta this little mixer. Or is it?

BEST ANSWER: Regarding the ix88 8-Channel mixer - I have a couple of comments. First, I paid well under the current price for this mixer (on sale through Monoprice), so it's hard to complain. It has worked well with our little band where we are using three mics and three instrument inputs on a regular basis. I love it's size, portability, and price. On the downside, this is not a high-end mixer with top-of-the-line performance. The limitations you are experiencing are similar to some of the results we have had with our mixer. Sound quality is OK, and EQ is limited in its ability to make a big difference. (Neither of these issues is a big deal in a noisy environment.)
For the price, it's a great device. When I can afford to move up to a better 8 or 10 channel mixer, I will. But for now, this goes with me wherever we play. I'm glad I picked it up when I did.

On the Monoprice ix8B 8 channel mixer, the equalizers cut off frequencies are not really adjustable. The center of the High is 12kHz and the center of the low is 80 Hz. So, the controls adjust plus or minus 15 dB at 12 kHz and 80 Hz.

Does the "Bluetooth" send to Bluetooth speakers or is it merely a receiving input from other devices? It would be nice if it outputs signal to speakers.

Can this be daisy chained to another 8 channel to have 16?

BEST ANSWER: Yes they could be daisy chained, but you end up with only 15 channels as you have to use an input of one for the output of the other, so you have 8 inputs on one and only 7 inputs available on the other

Nice mixer for what it is. Shouldn't it have an Aux Send/Recieve and a Pan control for each channel?
I thought about using this mixer for mic'ing a drum kit which is why this mixer needs Pan controls for each channel. I could run a Compressor through the Aux Send/Recieve buss to prevent signal overload. Can't do any of that with this mixer.

BEST ANSWER: It IS a nice mixer at this price point. But it has limitations(ie: no pan or aux send/rec). But you'll be hard pressed to find any mixer with 6 XLR/combo jacks and some efx at anywhere close to this price. Most I've seen at this price point have between 2 and 4 XLR in's with a couple of stereo line ins(each counting as 2 channels.) The least expensive mixer I've seen with 6 XLR AND pan(still no individual send and receive) is a Harbinger LV14 at more than twice the price.

Would have been great if it had PAN
The mixer is doing its job, fairly clear and clean and all that. However it is missing a pretty basic feature - a PAN selector for the mono channels. I failed to notice that it is missing but in my defense I've never met a mixer without it :(
I need two mono inputs and three stereo, my plan when buying the ix8B was to connect two of the stereo inputs to channels 3-4, and 4-5, with PAN left/right to emulate stereo inputs, but alas I can't do that.

Clean Sound & Versatel
We needed another small format sub-mixer for our keyboard set up to feed the main PA. We've been using a small Mackie. We also just used the Monoprice board at a small outdoor live gig feeding Bose S1 speakers. Clear and clean sound, decent EQ. Works great for both purposes.

8 channel mixer
The equipment exceeded my expectations. The only problem I had was that it was supposed to include a Bluetooth antenna which was missing. The company sent me a return authorization to send the entire thing back for lack of a two dollar antenna. I?ll just pick one up myself. I would love to buy another one unit but they?re out of stock now

A Pop For the Penny
I purchased the ix8B for my church and the ix6B for personal use. Both mixers work right out of the box for the exception of the effects. All the other functions did work. I liked the separate phantom power supplies for each channel (so no worries about blowing up wireless mics). Bluetooth work really well with no problems, mic pre's have plenty of headroom without using the gain knob and the USB port connects to the computer without a separate driver. I use the ix6B for me, so not having delay or reverb is not a big deal, but ix8B I use for church and some of the singers did take issue with that (having an effects loop would have helped here). Can't really say bang for the buck, but it will do the job.

This is my personal one.

Solid Mixer
It?s a cool little mixer, very solid construction. Feels very robust. My only complaint is that it doesn?t had a control for mid frequencies. I used it for a couple of DJ gigs and it saved my bacon one night. The person that was supposed to bring me the special music for a special even brought the music on a beat up old android cell phone that wasn?t active with any service. The headphone 3.5mm Jack was not working right and making all kinds of static and crackling noises. I was trying to figure out how to save the event for the young lady the party was for. It hit me stream the music via Bluetooth to my mixer and problem solved. So that?s exactly what we did. Streamed it Bluetooth and it worked with no problems. It is a very basic mixer, so don?t expect any bells and whistles. It sounds good for what it is. The price was great as I got it on sale and paid less than the regular price. Since then it?s been thru a handful of gigs and I?m about to use it to record and I?ve got no serious complaints. This mixer should last me for a long while as I can use it to record voice overs and similar stuff.

Great little mixer, needs better power supply.
Mixer was tested and appears to be functioning as it should. Haven?t used it yet for a gig. My only complaint is that the power supply is a flimsy transformer with a small plug that plugs into the unit. In a studio setting that might be acceptable. For the stage (which is what I plan to use this for) this will have to be protected somehow to keep it from getting damaged. I will probably end up mounting the unit in a case and using a sturdy cord to an AC outlet tp protect the transformer and its light gauge wire and plug. Otherwise, great value for the price.
